Looking for advice on hardware buying (Windows PC)

Dear Fellows,

I am still very new on the topic Premiere Pro, so please have patience with me 😉

I am planning to buy a new PC/ Laptop for my work with Premiere Pro.

Initially I was focused on a PC/Tower. So it would be certainly much easier to meet the hardware requirements.

(Except for the high prices on GPU).

But now it gets clear, I will need a certain amount of mobililty with my new device and my daily work.

Not very often, but still I have to think about buying a Laptop.

I have found the lists of requirements from Adobe.

Still I am not clear where to go, regarding the GPU.

The named GPUs on that site I rarely find in Laptops.

So it´s gettig hard to know which Laptop might be suitable.

I was looking for Laptops escecially at Dell Precision, mobile Workstations.

Other products I have found are Razor Blade or MSI.

How do you judge a Laptop with a GPU with 6 to 8 GB, but still not in the list of recommended GPUs.

Please understand my situation;

I am planning to start my own buiness as a Coach and Trainer. I want to produce my videos as a part of my future business.

But I will not be producing videos all day long 😉 So I won´t mind, if my new laptop takes some minutes longer to fulfill some special work.

What do you say about GPUs? Can you recommend a certain laptop producer for my needs?

Thanks a lot for your support. Have a great day,

Matthias

Are you new to video editing or just Premiere?

Moved to hardware forum.

I am completely new to video editing in general.

As I already use the Adobe Creative Suite, I thought it best to use Premiere Pro.

First of all, thanks a lot for the link, this is very helpful.

I hope you don´t mind another question:

This is regarding the GPU.

I was reading a lot in the last days about GPU and Premiere Pro.

Some people even wrote that they even use a laptop without a GPU, in other texts it was said, you might get false results if the GPU is not apropriate.

Certainly I will buy a laptop with a GPU with at last 4 GB.

But if one wants to buy a laptop with a GPU recommended by Adobe, than you touch 3.000 € for the laptop.

So I am still struggling to find out, how much emphasis to put on the GPU. Do you have any hint for me?

The processor will certainly be an i7 and there will probably be 32 GB RAM...
