Is the GTX 1050 (Not TI) capable of producing best resolution on a Benq 2700 PT? I have 16 gigs of ram and it's an Intel 750 I5 CPU. Trying to understand the role of the VGA to monitor performance.

If that monitor will do at least the minimum requirement, it will work... with, of course, 'more is better'

Here's more information: 3.40 gigahertz Intel Core i7-4770
256 kilobyte primary memory cache
1024 kilobyte secondary memory cache
8192 kilobyte tertiary memory cache
64-bit ready
Multi-core (4 total)
Hyper-threaded (8 total)
Would this be the weak link in my setup? Photos look good on my monitor, but, of course, I'm striving for the very best....

Not really out of whack, in this case. In fact, the GTX 1050 (non-Ti) is still somewhat weaker than that i7-4770. A GTX 1050 Ti or a GTX 1650 would be a better fit (performance-wise) with that CPU. This is because the GTX 1050 has only 2 GB of VRAM in its desktop version - but Adobe officially now recommends a GPU with 4 GB or more VRAM (which the GTX 1050 Ti and the GTX 1650 come standard with).

Thanks, much appreciated.

Like John stated, that 1440p monitor will (or should) work with that GPU.
The CPU, on the other hand, is another matter:
Is it a first-generation (Lynnfield) i5-750 from the year 2009? Or is it really a 7th-Generation (Kaby Lake) i5-7500 from 2017? The platform can make a difference as far as GPU compatibility is concerned. All Kaby Lake systems should be UEFI-capable (most GeForce 10 series cards require UEFI support just to even work at all) while most Lynnfield systems use only a legacy BIOS.

The motherboard and CPU dates back to 2013....

By that time, it should be a Haswell (4th Generation) CPU platform. At that point it should be an i5-4570, not an i5-750. Thus, UEFI should be virtually universal by then.

Oh, I saw that you actually have an i7-4770. So scratch what I put down above.
