My son will be using Adobe Premiere Pro at school and we need to buy a notebook. We picked one that uses the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card. However, this graphics card is not listed among the recommended ones. Could that cause problems?

Adobe has not updated its supported GPUs list since early 2022. That was before any of the RTX 40 series GPUs were released.

As far as actual compatibility is concerned, all recent NVidia GPUs from the GeForce 10 series up to and including the 40 series are supported, and those higher-end GPUs that are compatible with the NVidia Studio Driver are recommended.

However, a driver update to the latest Studio Driver that is downloaded directly from the NVidia web site is strongly recommended for that planned laptop as the pre installed PEM graphics driver is either an old driver or a Game Ready Driver derivative which may cause problems in Premiere Pro.
