I downloaded the Premiere 2019 to a recently purchased Asus AMD A6. As soon as the 2019 application launches it produces static through the speakers when the app is the active window. If I switch to another app the static goes away. The static in in the speakers only, not in the earphone jack.

Looking deeper into this it seems it's not a Premiere problem but a hardware problem. It occurs whether Premiere is running or not. I've been in touch with ASUS tech support who understood what I was talking about and suggested I replace the unit which I did. The new unit has the same problem. This is a new model of theirs and it seems like they may some kinks to work out.

Thanks for your attention,
