I just built a new system using an AMD 3960x processor and an Nvidia GTX1070 GPU. The GPU is from my old system and due to the scarcity of the RTX3xxx series GPU's I haven't had a chance to upgrade it. I am running the latest Nvidia Studio driver version 462.31. My system BIOS, chipset drivers, and Windows updates are current.
I am experiencing crashes in Adobe Premiere where my screen goes black and then my system reboots. The odd thing is it only seems to happen when I am doing light tasks in Premiere like simply playing a clip. Exporting (with GPU acceleration enabled) works fine. My system isn't overheating and can run for hours during a CPU or GPU stress test, I have also run Memtest multiple times and don't have any memory errors. My PSU is also new and of good quality; this issue only happens in Premiere. Other apps like Photoshop and Lightroom run fine, even demanding VR games that stress the GPU far more than Premiere run fine. I have tried reinstalling (with clean install option selected) the video driver but am still having the same issue. What am I missing? Is anyone else having these issue? I am running out of ideas and thought I would come here for feedback, your thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!
