what are best HDD our days?

I wonder what are the BEST HDD disks our days, brands, models? I am looking for a few HDD for back up Media .... i have separate bays that i turn off when its not used. What would u suggest.... i remember previously the WD black were good ones...

The enterprise rated drives are generally better.

hgst enterprise is usually considered the best. WD or Seagate enterprise are also pretty good over desktop models like the WD black. if these are just for archival or backups, there are some enterprise models that are made just for that and are slightly slower speeds, but will also be a bit cheaper.

I too like HGST drives for both RAID 5 arrays and for backup purposes.

Considering price and warranty period, I like HGST's 6tB NAS 7200rpm drives a lot.
