Xeon Phi and After Effects background rendering

New Here ,
Dec 03, 2016 Dec 03, 2016

Has anyone used an intel Xeon Phi card to add cores to a windows system for use with Adobe software?

I'm looking to use the additional cores to render comps out of After Effects.

There's a simple script (BGrender) that allow you to launch a discrete version of After Effects in each seperate core so rendering is much quicker.

We are already successfully doing this on our 28 core Windows machine. and have added the Xeon Phi to the machine but After Effects does not see the added cores.

Any thinking would be welcome.

Thanks,

Mike
