A simple question

I want to record my PC gameplay what software do you offer for that?  

 

This is the questions I asked, starting out the Adobe chatbot 35 minutes ago.  I have gone through countless agents that keep transferring me back and forth until I finally just asked chat gpt, and they said not.  but I am still in chat waiting for an answer from an agent, any agent.  I have been through specialist after specialist with no answer in sight.  This boggled my mind; it should be a fairly easy question to answer about their software, right?

 

But every "Specialist" I have come across seems completely taken aback by the question; they have no clue!  They have to ask 15 other people for the answer.  I feel like it's the same as going to McDonalds and asking for extra ketchup on your burger, and the person taking your order looks at you just completely baffled.  So you ask what's wrong,  and they look you dead in the eyes like YOU are crazy, and say, What is ketchup?  Ketchup?  Where are you from?  is that English?  I have never heard of this ketchup.  then they go to their manager to try and get help and the manager is also clueless as to what ketchup is,  so they pull out their phone to Google "catchup" only to find out I have been saying the word "Catsup"  which then blows their mind more so they send their GM the Wikipedia link they found in their slack channel only to see that the GM, well he got the job for a reason.  He figured it out,  this elusive "Catsup" is not a fish sauce but it is indeed "ketchup" and it's that red stuff that comes in one of the bags in their stock in the back that the underlings put inside the plastic squirter thingy so he instructs the padawan to inform the drone robot to push the button on the squirter thingy for the red stuff twice on this order only until they see it happen again.

 

I am still waiting for my answer and it is now 9:28 pm

 

But I digress. The subject said, "A Simple question," and I would like to get back to that since it is the reason why I came here.

 

Adobe, if someone asked one of your representatives What software you offer that would allow me to screen record my PC gameplay (like geforce experience or even the Xbox app), how many minutes would you feel comfortable paying a human being on the other side of the chat to answer that question?

As you've noticed, the automated chat is hit or miss.  In your case, it seems like it was a huge miss.

When reaching out to Adobe support about video, do the following:

  1. Make sure to sign into your Adobe account. Allow popups and cookies on your browser. You may not be able to see the chat window if using a VPN. 
  2. Click here: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen. This will automatically open the chat window.

When you do find a screen recording program be sure to configure it to record in CONSTANT FRAME RATE if you want to edit the video... VARIABLE Frame Rate video is only for playback, not for editing

  4. When you get an agent, ask to be connected to the video queue. These are agents that are specially trained to handle issues related to digital video and audio.
