All Adobe software is now too expensive, The creative suite is ludicrously overpriced. I am looking at all the alternatives, Adobe don't have a monopoly on good products. They have treated customers shabbily.

Over here in Britain, Adobe pretty much replaced the price figure by removing the '$' sign and replacing it with a '£'. They argued that's because of their investment in modifying the existing software. OK, updating the original code from NSTC into PAl, (and US into UK English) would have taken some additional work way back, but after that it should have been straight forward to update in parallel. So, apart from the price for small European independents (especially if Stock's included), it's a shame that products like Clip, for instance, are only available in NSTC 30fps, not PAL 25fps...

Of course, under the old CS regime, it was possible to update when the value of an update made commercial sense for the business model. You also had that software for keeps and could update projects. Now you are force to pay monthly to lease the software and once you stop, you loose it all. Maybe that's the same model as car leasing but, HEY, this is a creative industry with entirely different client dynamics...
