Did any of you ever take Film History when you were in college? I did and I absolutely loved it.
Please link to your favorite film school films.

Early Film
At San Jose State, where I went to college, we had to pass Film History I and II as core requirements for my Theater Arts: RTVF (Radio, TV, & Film) major.

I think most film students in classes like Prof. Chess' Film History I, you see the earliest examples films—all silent, such as:

"The Great Train Robbery" by Edwin S. Porter (1903).

Here's another silent era film school classic:

A Trip to the Moon - the 1902 Science Fiction Film by Georges Méliès

Sadly Kevin I didn't get to film school!

I'm sure while I'm sitting at home now I could find one online 🙂

I have always been a fan of Hitchcock and his film Rope.

It's notable for only having 10 cuts, long before the recent 1917 or Birdman made hiding cuts popular

( and finding them )

I always loved Rear Window and love the love and dedication put into this piece.

Did you spot Hitchs cameo?

Best regards, Euan.
