I understand the anger & frustration

I understand the anger & frustration. But realistically, there were two companies and obviously lawyers involved. Remember, Adobe didn't own the 'tech' for reading/processing ac3 files, Dolby Laboratories did. It's been rather past annoying especially as there's been so little effective assistance from Adobe on how to navigate this problem.

I've met a few of the Adobe staffers at both NAB & MAX ... and they won't say a word, hint at nothing, nor respond in any way on this. Not a wink, shake, shrug ... nothing. Never seen them so uncommunicative on something.

So ... at that point, it's clearly become a lawyering issue. Which means us users are just standing here. The staffers "standing" over there. And they aren't allowed to talk with us.

Nope ... not good. But also clearly, not a choice of the product teams.
