I'm moving on, it's been 20 years of the bugs just getting more insane and time consuming. Wish I would have jumped ship earlier. Premiere has cost me countless hours of dealing with its totally mysterious bugs. Honestly, I'm an idiot for sticking around this long. Should have realized it back when I was making Youtube videos to share my solutions for inconceivable bugs after I found a solution. Sunk cost fallacy I guess.
I think my favorite bug is how changing your audio hardware output device fixed a bug where your program window only showed black.
Mod note: The title of your post was changed to reflect the issue. Content was edited slightly to provide context. Thanks.

I'm going to have to do this, I spend more time fighting bugs in Premiere and applying fixes than I do actually editing videos. It sucks to work all day on a project and realize you maybe got in an hour of actual editing, and everything else was Adobe troubleshooting, restarts, cache clearing, renaming folders, copying contents of projects to new projects, removing plugins, deleting libraries, turning off EQ, changing audio output, ecoding raw files to something Adobe is supposed to like better.

Technical note: Encoding camera original files to a mezzanine format imporves performance not only in Premiere Pro, but Avid Media Composer, Blackmagic Deisgn DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro.
