Chatting with an agent to help me. They did fine. At the end they hit me with a sales pitch to use Adobe A.I. to create my videos faster.
Is it just me or does this rub y'all the wrong way too? I need help, but I get sales pitched during that process? Bleh.
Beyond that, are we now in a serious dichotomy of the marketplace? Content regurgitators vs. actual creatives? Adobe seems to be chasing the latter.
Honestly, why wouldn't they? To exploit the economy of scale, you go down not up. Business wise it makes sense, but...
Actual imaging creatives have built the a visual vocabulary and foundation over the past century in motion pictures, and now A.I. (unethically?) yanks from that database and transfers it to people that are not creatives, but are certainly satisfied with hasty derivatives.
"Oh, it's just a tool!" Yeah. It's also a lot more than that too, ain't it?
All this to say that this kind of A.I. stuff, along with just the general Adobe culture, doesn't instill me (a guy that likes to believe I have some little bit of creativity that's still of value) with confidence in the company moving into this new era.
Just sayin'. I ain't digging the vibes, man.
All you youths banging out novel stuff probably think nothing of it.
So, I got green grass here. Get off it while I shake my fist at the clouds and lean into my windmills. End rant.
