[This post contains formatting and embedded images that don't appear in email. View the post in your Web browser.] Hmm. I just restest Flickr authorization and it's still working for me. Another thought: Normally, the Flickr service will show in Publish Services panel even if it's not yet authorized: But it's not appearing in your Publish Services panel. Perhaps it got accidentally hidden. Click on the Publish Service panel's + button and then click Show under Fllickr: Then click Set Up to the right of Flickr: Does Authorization now work?

@coolguy8484: "As for mask types, it's a mix of a few object detection masks and mostly brush masks. I would say the number of strokes is too many to count. ... Dozens." There are many reports here over the past many years of LR slowing down significantly as the brush strokes add up, and I'm not aware of any solutions. If you're willing to share one of your problem photos, we can verify that you're tripping over the general problem and not something specific to your installation. Select the photo and do Metadata > Save Metadata To File. Then upload the file (and it's .xmp sidecar, if it's raw) to Wetransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive or similar free service and post the sharing link here.

"DirectX: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 (32.0.15.6094)" That graphics driver is 9 months old. Install the latest Nvidia Studio driver: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/details/243339/ If that doesn't help, try resetting LR's preferences: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/articles-page/how-do-i-reset-lightrooms-preferences/ LR sometimes soils its preferences file, and resetting it can fix all sorts of wonky behavior. That article explains how to restore the old preferences if resetting doesn't help.

"The problem only occurs when using masks, particularly after doing apparently too many adjustments to the mask." Are these Brush masks? Roughly how many separate brush strokes? How many brush masks? As you've observed, many have complained about degraded performance when you have "too many". Try temporarily disabling the Tourbox plugin to see if that's the culprint (likely not, but best to rule it out). Also, it looks like you've currently got the Game Ready driver installed. Adobe and Nvidia recommend the Studio driver for LR. (Again, likely not the culprit.)

@tinad37831855: "While using the "Generative remove feature" I am noticing that after each edit I must hit the enter key on the keyboard to see the change." Normally in both LR and LR Classic, when you finish brushing the selection and click Remove, the object gets removed -- you don't have to click Enter. See the attached screen recording. If this is not happening for your, then your LR may be glitching, and I recommend starting a new thread describing your problem. Be sure to do Help > System Info and copy/paste the entire contents into your post. Also, attaching a full-resolution screen recording of the entire LR window (not a phone video) would make the troubleshooting much more efficient: https://www.descript.com/blog/article/how-to-screen-record-on-windows https://support.apple.com/guide/quicktime-player/record-your-screen-qtp97b08e666/mac

A couple hours ago I tried to re-authorize my existing Flickr publish service and it failed, just as you observed. Just now, I created a new test catalog, set up a new instance of the Flickr publish service, and authorization succeeded. When I went back to my main catalog, the Flickr service was also authorized, and I could again publish photos to it. (I think the authorization tokens are shared among all catalogs.) So it looks like this may have been a temporary glitch between LR and Flickr. Try these magic spells: 1. In your main catalog, in the left column of Library under Publish Services, right-click the Flickr service and do Edit Settings. If it's currently authorized, then the problem has fixed itself. 2. If not, then open your Web browser, go to flickr.com, click on your avatar in the upper-right corner, and do Log Out. 3. Back in LR, in the Edit Settings for Flickr, click Authorize, log in to Flickr when asked, click "OK, I'll authorize", then in LR, click Done in the pop-up dialog. 4. If your main catalog still isn't authorized, create a new test catalog. In the left column of Library under Publish Services, click Flickr > Set Up. If authorizing this new instance succeeds, go back to your main catalog. Is Flickr now authorized there?

@brunomendesreal: "The tool removes but does not create texture, it leaves the removed area blurred, making the photo look strange." Many have observed here that the replacements made by Generative Remove sometimes don't match the photo's tone or noise. To get better matches, these techniques sometimes help: 1. Adobe recommends applying Denoise before Remove. This can reduce the noise, making it more likely the replacement will match. 2. The replacement patch supplied by Adobe Firefly has a maximum size of 2048 x 2048 pixels. If the selected area in the photo is larger than that, then the replacement patch gets upscaled (and blurry). Try removing smaller selections if possible. 3. Conversely, try making a larger selection, even including the entire background. Upscaling of the replacement sometimes won't be noticeable then. 4. Sometimes there's a distinctly visible boundary where the tone or noise don't match. You can often use the heal tool around the boundary to get better feathering and make it less noticeable -- apply Heal in small brush strokes. Or use a Brush mask with maximum feathering, dropping local Texture, Clarity, and Sharpness to their minimum values. Sometimes, making a very raggedy selection around the object makes the boundary less noticeable. 5. For grain/noise in particular, see this post for how to ameliorate the problem by adding the grain back or reducing the grain: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/p-generative-remove-feedback-lr-classic-amp-lr-eco/m-p/14917497#M382464

Do the menu command File > Plug-in Manager. 2. Scroll throught the plugins in the left column. Do you see Flickr? 3. If so, select Flickr. In the right panel, does it show as Enabled or Disabled? "Isn't it rather a question of the expiry of the contract between Google Maps and Adobe in Europe?" If that were the case, we would have seen many more reports here in the last three months. Just now, I used a VPN to connect to the Internet through three cities in Germany and three in France, running LR in German and French, and the Map module worked well (Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt, Strasbourg, Paris, Marseille). If this issue were a result of an expired country-wide or region-wide contract, these tests would have failed. All the evidence points to bugs in the Map module's code not handling variable-latency network responses from Google's servers: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-bugs/p-map-appears-all-grey-with-high-latency-network-connections-to-google-s-servers/idi-p/15269447 "This is really not correct at all and quite unusual for a company of this reputation!!!" @Marc26494349xnzf: "how do you explain, as indicated in my last intervention, that version 14.1.1 connects and displays the Google maps map perfectly in Lightroom Classic in all circumstances and at all times" Oops, sorry, I misunderstood what you wrote and gave an incorrect reply. My corrected answer: That it may work in previous versions of LR but not 14.3 would be very typical for a race-condition bug (a bug that depends on the timing of external events). Changes in other parts of LR that affect the timing of LR's start-up could avoid or trigger the race condition. In general, race conditions can be hard to debug, since they can be hard to reproduce reliably. But I recently gave a recipe that makes it much easier for Adobe engineers to reproduce: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-bugs/p-map-appears-all-grey-with-high-latency-network-connections-to-google-s-servers/idi-p/15269447

To get a file listing all the missing photos, do the LR menu command Library > Find All Missing Photos. That will make a special collection containing all the missing photos. Then select all those photos and use the Any Filter plugin's Sort command to export a CSV file, which will contain one photo per line. The first column will be the full file path of each photo, and you can add columns containing additional fields as needed. @Bikens: "for me, Google Maps works perfectly outside of Lightroom and I have a fiber optic connection with 1 GB of speed." There are clearly serious bugs in the Map module, and my experiment with latency shows that it's a "race condition", a nasty kind of bug that's dependent on the timing of external events. My experiment shows that at least one trigger of the bugs is the timing of when network responses arrive at LR. Besides the speed of the network connection between your computer and your ISP, there are other factors that could introduce variable timing: - There could be a slower or more variable connection between your ISP's routers and Google's servers. This could be the network link(s) or it could be flakiness or misconfiguration in network routers. - The Google servers allocated to your part of the world could be slower in responding or glitching for some other reason. Note that the servers for Google Maps are likely separate from the servers for the Google Maps API service (which programs like LR call). The former is accessed via google.com and the latter via googleapis.com. These servers could be located in different parts of the world. So just because Google Maps is working well for your browser doesn't mean that the Google Maps API is working well for LR. Regardless, the code for the Map module shouldn't have such race conditions and should tolerate higher variances in network responses. My experiment demonstrates to the developers how to easily reproduce the symptoms, which should quickly point a competent engineer to at least one cause of the bugs.
