PSDT files are template files for projects like business cards or posters or things like that. Probably for something like InDesign. I don't think LrC is the best choice for that kind of project.

Another thought; are you using a raw file? The adaptive profiles will only be available for raw files.

But the original inquiry was to have the original ratio remembered. And I don't think that is a feature that is available or intended.

In my experience, if the crop tool is in the lock position it will automatically default to the crop ratio of the image that has focus, NOT a preselected ratio. It has always worked that way, and I don't expect it will ever change.

Agreed. An image FILE only exists in a catalog one time. But it can exist in multiple collections based on how the user decides to organize those images. Therefore images can be removed from collections. However if a user deletes an image from the folder where it exists than that image file will also be removed from ALL collections in which that file has been added to.

DeDegannes, I believe we are on the same page as we have been in the past. I didn't mean to imply that it was a bug. I wasn't trying to argue. Maybe I wasn't thinking clearly when I wrote my last reply. I think we have all been attempting to clarify the issue for the OP.

I suppose, if you want to, you can report it as a bug and see if Adobe wants to do anything about it. Just understand that it isn't possible to delete images from a collection.

In the library module of LrC you have the option of viewing your images in All Photographs, or in the actual folder where the photographs exist, or in collections. The viewing option where you cannot delete images is in the collection. You are only given the option to delete images from the collection.

I'm not referring to using Windows. I'm referring to going to the folder in Lightroom rather than the collection. There IS a difference. When you first import images they are in a folder. Then you organize collections, and those collections can contain images from multiple folders on multiple hard drives. That is why Adobe has chosen not to allow deleting images from the collections.

A collection is simply another way of organizing images. If you want to delete the image from the disk it will be necessary to go to the folder that contains the image and delete the image from the folder that contains the image. Images cannot be deleted from colllections, they can only be deleted from the folder.

First you would extract the images from the zip file, probably to a folder. Then you could import the images from that folder into Lightroom.

No, creating a new catalog as a result of upgrading your LrC wouldn't result in causing the problem. The problem would present itself "if" you had a catalog that you initially began synchronizing images from and then started a separate catalog for some reason that you wished to keep images separate from your "master" catalog. Those images in the separate catalog would not be able to be synchronized. Only the images in the master catalog would be Synchronized. This would remain true even after a version upgrade.

Collections can only be synchronized from a single catalog. Is it possible that you have opened a catalog other than the one you have chosen to synchronize from?

Since you only removed them from LrC, the images remain in the folder on your hard drive where they were imported. They are no longer part of your LrC catalog. It will be necessary for you to use Finder to browse to that folder, locate the images and use Finder to delete those images. You probably have read or watched tutorials warning not to do anything outside of Lightroom. However, in this case you are safe to do so because those images have been removed from your Lightroom catalog and are no longer being tracked by the program.

One method I have used in the past is to use the operating system (Finder in your case) to copy that folder where you want it to be. Then, using Lightroom, locate the folder on the archive drive and choose the option to Find the missing folder and point Lightroom to the folder in its new location. After you have done that, if you choose to do so, you can remove the folder from the archive external drive.

It seems that something else must be happening because simply placing images in collections does not move images anywhere. Collections are simply another way of organizing images within a catalog, but the images are not moved. There is still only one actual instance of the image. When you choose to share a collection in the creative cloud, Lightroom Classic shares Smart previews and not the actual images. These Smart previews do not use any of that 20 GB of storage space. The only time that space is used is if you use the cloud version of Lightroom to import images directly using that version. So it's unclear what is actually happening that causes images to disappear from your catalog. Is it possible that you have some sort of filter set? Or, are you looking at the collection rather than your "all photographs"?

You would want a minimum of 16 GB of RAM, two hard drives (solid-state system drive and spinning secondary), as fast of a CPU as you can afford. I can't advise you on graphics processor unit.

I am not familiar at all with that printer. However, I looked at the specs online. 11 x 14" is listed as one of the sizes that printer is capable of producing. Perhaps there is a user group for the printer that might be able to offer some assistance. Good luck in resolving the problem.

Another option is to create a new collection and temporarily designate it as the target collection. Then, any image that you mark with the little circle in the filmstrip (upper right hand corner) will automatically be added to that collection. After you have completed adding images to the collection you can change the target collection back to the quick collection or to some other collection if you choose to do so.

What printer are you using? I will relate an issue I recently encountered. I don't know if it applies in your situation or not. I use a Canon PIXMA Pro 100. I wanted to print an 8.5 x 25" print which requires a custom setting, and the custom setting was not available. At the time LrC was set to print borderless and the custom setting was not available. But when I unchecked borderless printing the custom setting became available and I was able to get the print size I needed. Just a suggestion, Hope this helps.

I'm using LrC to Version 12 on Windows 11 and do not experience what you are describing. My only suggestion would be to check your export options and ensure that the final option specifies "Do Nothing" or the French equivalent. Sorry that I don't have any better ideas.

As indicated, you didn't have Lightroom Classic. You had an older standalone version of Lightroom. Subscribing to Lightroom Classic doesn't mean that you have an "all to the cloud" version of Lightroom. Lightroom Classic still installs locally on your computer FROM the cloud and is updated FROM the cloud on approximately a quarterly basis. But everything functions locally just like your ancient, out of date, obsolete version of Lightroom functions. It is no longer offered by Adobe and is no longer supported by Adobe. And it cannot be installed on the new operating systems because the installer is 16-bit.

Based on the timestamps, the laptop catalog appears to have some editing that the other catalog does not have. You will have to decide whether or not that editing is critical and needs to be retained.

Have you tried disabling the graphics processor in the Lightroom preferences? If that works then check to see if there is an update for the driver for your graphics processor.

You are probably looking for Lightroom Classic. There is a naming confusion with the Lightroom products. Lightroom (the cloud version) doesn't have all the features that Lightroom Classic has. Probably the reason there is no web gallery function in Lightroom 5.5 is that your images are already in the cloud. But then, I'm primarily a user of Lightroom Classic so don't quote me.

The features you are looking for are in Lightroom Classic (the version that stores images locally on the computer hard drive), but those features are not available in Lightroom 5.5, the cloud version.

I'm not going to explain this very well because I'm not a heavy user of Lightroom for the cloud. But the program needs 500 GB on your computer hard drive to prepare your LrC catalog for migration. It's part of the migration process to the cloud. After the migration is complete that 500 GB won't be needed anymore, but it has to be used for the migration process. Someone else can probably give you more information.
