Thanks very much to those that have reported this and helped us isolate the problem. I received a large (150 GB) project + media set from @Pitepx and I tested it quite extensively using recent Beta builds od Pr 25.2 and 25.3 as well as the current release version, which is Pr25.1x073. The only repro steps I know of are toy do a lot off shuttling, jogging, JKL playback in conjunction with some basic editing things like trimming and moving clips. So the good news is that the problem was not happening at all in any of my tests, including in the latest Pr 25.3 beta builds. But it also did not happen inthe relase version of 25.1. So I can't say for sure that it's fixed with @Peter_Antal 's latest changes, but it's looking good so far, at least from my point of view. Please, for those of you who have been experiencing the problem lately, can you upgrade to the latest beta build (Pr25.3xBeta003 or higher) and let us know if the problem will still happen for you?

@Christian Leibig This playback problem started in Pr25.2xBeta045 and was fixed in Pr25.2xBeta050. If I read your post correctly, all these latest problem started when you tried the fix in build 050. Is that correct? If so, then they are probably all separate bugs. You can report them in this beta forum by creating a new post and making sure the "Bug" radio botton is turned on. For any bug to be actionable we need some clear steps and a reliably reproducible result. I tried some of the things you mentioned and saw no problems on my own systems.

What @Christian Leibig said is correct. We had at least six different threads about the same root problem started at around the same time. Se we merged them all into one so that everyone can see the status and add their own comments in one place. The bug is already fixed internally and should be available within the next day or two. See my correct answer post about a workaround in the meantime.

UPDATE: The fix for this problem has been verified on mac and win at Pr25.2xBeta050. Please update to that build or later when you can. Thank you @Lounger and everyone else who took the time to report this to us. We have found the root cause and a fix is on the way. For now, as a workaround, please make sure the Audio preference "Play audio while scrubbing" is checked ON and then restart PrPro after checking it on or off. See the attached image for clarity.

The fix for this problem has been verified on mac and win at Pr25.2xBeta050. Please update to that build or later when you can. Thank you for reporting this @GiancarloS. There was a recent audio change that caused the Audio pref "Play audio while scrubbing" to malfunction when checked on or off. A fix is on they way and the workaround, which you already found, is to reaunch Pr after changing that pref. See my full "correct answer" here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-beta-bugs/p-spacebar-does-not-start-playing-the-timeline/idc-p/15030953#M4801

IGNORE what I said below. We have found the repro, a workaround and a fix. See my "Correct Answer" post. Thank you @Lounger and everyone else who took the time to report this to us. We're working hard to reproduce the problem locally which is necessary to isolate the root cause and fix it. So we'll need the following specifics from anyone willing to share them with us: PrPro build used (example: Pr25.2xBeta048) OS used (example: MacOS Sonoma 14.1.1) Video and/or Audio format used in Timeline (a short sample file would be even better) Effects applied (if any) Anything else specific in your timeline?

I was re-assigned from Pr Graphics to a different PrPro dev team a while back so I don't get to browse Graphics specific topics on the forums nearly as much as I used to. So, sorry if I'm too late to this discussion. Let me respond to a few things I read above: (1) What you @Mario37140797pky9 are seeing is an inherent of how fonts or designed and displayed in most Adobe apps. The background is using the center of the text string to determine how the background fits behind it. This is affected by ascenders and descenders, which very in length by font. Note: Ligatures are when two characters become joined, like Th and ff and only happen with certain fonts. @R Neil Haugen (2) Pinning (aka Responsive Design - Position) is the correct approach to allow you to center the background yourself because then you will have two separate layers... a text and a shape. For a single lien of text, make a background shape and then pin the text to it on the left and right sides. That way your editors can change the text string and the width of the shape will respond to stayed center. You can always move the y position up or down a little to keep that part centered without affecting the pinning. It;s kind of hard to explain how it all work, but if you just try it, it should be pretty intuitive. (3) You can still make mogrts our of Pr Graphics with pinning and they should require minimal tweaks by the end users to keep them looking right.

This problem has been fixed internally and will be released with the next public version of Premiere Pro (Pr 25.1). If you don't want to wait for that, you can see the fix in a recent Public Beta build of Pr 25.2 (build 005 or higher). Also, you can turn off custom scaling (115%) in Windows display settings to avoid the problem altogether.

Thank you for reporting this to us, Ciaran. I was able to try this in a recent beta build and it looks like it has already been fixed. Can you try it in a beta build (like. Pr25.1xBeta034 or higher) as well and let us know if it still happens for you or not? You can use the Beta tab in the CC Desktop app to install the latest public Beta build. Beta builds can co-exist with production builds, so you don't need to uninstall anything or worry about version conflicts.

That sounds like a no brainer to me, Ann. Especially siunce none of those modifers are already taken when you're in the Program Mon with the slection tool active. I'll bring this up internally because there may be limiting gactors I'm noy aware of yet. In the meanting, an actual feature request, and upvotes on it, might help.

Your points are valid @Randune23 ... I don't like it either when my UI radically changes in apps I use constantly without much notice. But the link that @Ann Bens shared explains the new changes pretty well. Also note that the switch to Properties Panel in PrPro is ONLY in Beta for now. There will be broader, louder announcements before the feature officially releases.

Hi Ann... You just called me on the bat phone! 🙂 Import PSD, as a sequence or not, has been around for as long as I can remember. I'm really not sure what the design is supposed to be. Is the problem you see something that is new for recent beta builds?

@Zachary29825943vx85 I think you just need to move forward to the latest Beta Prime build... Pr24.5xBeta042 or higher. In Pr's about box, what version does it say you are currently using?
If that does not work, please send me a Private Message so I can help you directly.

Like @Ann Bens said, it is difficult to tell what you're actually seeing with all those isolated images. It doesn't need to be very hi resolution, but it will help if we can see what your whole import mode screen looks like. Are you in a position to reset your prefs?

Thank you for taking the time to report this. We've seen some similar problems reported recently but those should be fixed in the version you're on. Could you please provide us with a little more info about how you got into the state of editing text in the Program Monitor? For example, did you single click or click and drag with the type tool to create a text on point or a text in a box layer? Unfortunately, there are multiple places where keyboard shortcuts could accidentally trigger with character entry, so we need to narrow down your steps as much as possible. Any details you can provide about what you did might help with that.
