I forgot to mention I'm opening the documents on the same Mac, using the latest versions of InDesign 2022 and macOS Monterey.

I have the same problem. I had to update a few documents a couple of years old, and I discovered many hyperlinks were replaced with "http://". Now I have to rebuild all missing hyperlinks using the old PDFs. It's a nightmare! 😞

No matter what I try I get the same message: "The document “....sketch” could not be opened. XD cannot open files in the “Sketch image” format." On two different Macs. This sounds to me like the XD application simply cannot read .sketch files anymore.

Is Adobe XD still able to open Sketch files? I'm on macOS and I cannot select any .sketch file in the Open window of Adobe XD. If I do force a .sketch file to open in XD (using Cmd-Alt-drag), I get this message: The document “....sketch” could not be opened. XD cannot open files in the “Sketch image” format. I use the latest versions of macOS (11.3), XD (39.0.12.12) and Sketch (71.2).

I installed the Creative Cloud Add-In in both Word and PowerPoint. While in Word everything seems to work as expected, in PowerPoint I am not able to work with the colors from the CC libraries. On the library panel all colors appear dimmed . I tried clicking on them to apply as fills on shapes or text but it didn't work. Am I doing something wrong? I am able to place artwork from the libraries, but the colors do not seem to work.

Very often when I select and/or edit the text in Adobe XD, I get this services menu popping out on the screen when I left-click on the text: This is very annoying. Any ideas on how to disable it completely?

When I save an EPS from Illustrator CC 2018, the file cannot be previewed in macOS High Sierra using Quick Look (select the file in Finder, press the space bar). All I see is this generic icon: All other EPS files I have on my computer are displayed just fine in Quick Look. Has anyone else noticed this?

I already found a couple of annoying bugs in the new version of Illustrator. Working with text is a nightmare now, the text size jumps up and down for no reason when I resize it. And I still get the "the file has been modified outside Illustrator" message every time I save files in Dropbox on High Sierra.

Replace "high sierra" with any other OS name and you'll see the same type of results. There are always some issues with outdated pieces of software when a new OS is released. High Sierra is not better or worse than other releases in this regard. And, uh, Wacom has had a terrible history in rolling out driver updates after something goes wrong in a OS level update.

https://forums.adobe.com/people/Pariah+Burke wrote Second, there's politics at play. Adobe IS Apple's competitor in Apple's mind. The kumbaya era of cooperation between hardware, OS, and software companies is long gone--Steve Jobs saw to that when he returned to Apple and declared every other tech company a potential threat to Apple's interests. Apple DOES send alpha and beta software to Adobe, and it does communicate with Adobe (and Microsoft and other major software publishers) but it doesn't ZEALOUSLY cooperate. In truth, if Apple causes a conflict with someone's software, that conflict is blamed on the software maker (Adobe, in this case), which weakens the software publisher while, at worst, leaving Apple unscathed and, at best, making Apple look even better in the short term AND later if Apple decides to compete head-to-head with whoever's software is having the problem (Apple often goes head-to-head against the major software people use on Apple hardware). It's a software bug, for crying out loud. What does politics have to do with this? "ZEALOUSLY cooperate"? What do you want Apple to do, send a personal assistant to each and every software developer out there? Hey, we understand, there is a bug somewhere. It's going to be fixed eventually by someone. There is no need to defend Adobe with nonsense stories.

https://forums.adobe.com/people/Dov+Isaacs wrote Given how many programs MacOS 10.13 is incompatible with (yes, not the other way around), it would be very imprudent to be an early adopter of this OS version. Wait until the 10.13.x updates are issued and the “all clear” is given by the various application software companies. - Dov Could you let us know exactly how many programs MacOS 10.13 is incompatible with? Because I only have issues with InDesign and (sometimes) Illustrator. Everything else non-Adobe works just fine.

BobLevine wrote Great. More wannabe software engineers are checking in. Does it occur to you that Adobe told Apple about this and Apple hasn't fixed it? Until a dot release from either Adobe or Apple fixes it, stop making foolish assumptions. And while I'm on the topic of foolish. Stop upgrading an operating system on a production machine without testing and research! Let's accept for a moment that it is Apple's fault, not Adobe's. A while ago, I remember another software company warning their users NOT to upgrade to the latest version of the operating system because of a critical bug they discovered during the betas. I received their email BEFORE the final release of the OS and I delayed the upgrade until the bug was fixed. On August 11, a user on the Macrumors forums discovered the cursor bug in Indesign (see here), using one of the public beta versions of macOS High Sierra. If someone at Adobe bothered to test the software during the betas, they would've had plenty of time to warn the users not to upgrade, at least one week before the final release of macOS 10.13 (which was on September 25). Adobe has all our emails, could've send an email blast to all CC subscribers. But yeah, we're to blame because we upgraded our systems. It's not 1999 anymore. We do upgrade the systems as soon as possible and we expect better service from a big software company like Adobe.

alextheberge wrote Why on earth wasn't the issue isolated and users warned AHEAD of the MacOS 10.13 release? Hopefully the engineers at Adobe have learned that they need to take advantage of Apple's beta builds and make those builds a part of future software testing. This shouldn't have happened. And it's not Apple, it's Adobe's failure to be proactive. Well said! Apple released 10 public betas of High Sierra during the summer. One would think Adobe had enough time to test and fix their software before the final release of macOS 10.13.

Just in case someone else tries this "paste into" trick and discovers it does not work because you can't paste the table into the rectangle frame (the Paste Into menu option is disabled): you have to select and copy the whole text frame containing the table, and not just the table!

https://forums.adobe.com/people/David+Mohr wrote Unless something has changed recently, ABC Extended is not the English keyboard for English outside the US/UK. At least it wasn't last time I made that kind of a test-bed, which was only a couple months ago. I'm nearly positive that ABC Extended is simply the keyboard layout formerly known as US Extended. You're right about ABC Extended = US Extended. All I'm saying is I'm in Romania and when I install macOS Sierra for the first time and pick English as the system language, the default keyboard layout I get is that "ABC Extended".

David Mohr here is some more information about this issue: In my case I discovered the problem occurs when I use the "ABC Extended" keyboard layout in macOS Sierra. I believe this is the keyboard layout which is installed by default on macOS for users outside USA, UK (and possibly other countries), when they choose English as the system language. Also the problem occurs for non-English keyboard layouts like Romanian (which I use sometimes). The problem does not occur when I use the US English keyboard layout. Also someone in this thread mentioned that UK English works fine too. So it seems to be an issue with non-English keyboard layouts?
