Hi @Abhishek Rao ,
did you notice that we see the issue only with the controls in the Control panel?

Hi @rainydaypixels ,
I think your screenshots are showing no information you could not share with us.
Simply attach the InDesign document so we can have a look.
@Robert at ID-Tasker said: "Doesn't look like a TextWrap problem?"
Hm. I wonder how a text wrap setting might be designed, that would lead to the issue the 3 screenshots are showing. Perhaps a combination with a setting in the Layers panel? But then, why is the text frame on the right not affected? Well, we need the InDesign document to tell more…

Hi @Abhishek Rao ,
I can also confirm the issue.
InDesign 2025 v20.3.1 on macOS 12.7.6
Note:
I see this when I am using the Control panel,
Not when I use the Properties panel, not when I use the Align panel.

Great!
But please let me know if you had to recreate the QR code from scratch.

Hi @vistic ,
please post a sample document where you see the problem.
Hm.
Did you create the QR code with InDesign 2025 v20 or did you just open an earlier version document with InDesign 2025?
Speculation without testing anything:
could be that there is no automatic conversion when you just open an earlier version document.
So I would test with a new QR code in InDesign 2025…

Hi together,
in the meanwhile I think this is a known bug and will be addressed in the next point update of InDesign 2025 after the current version 20.3.

what @Robert at ID-Tasker said.
A restart of the machine could also help.

Hi @Marshall_Brooks ,
with very large InDesign documents I would work with exportFile() instead of asynchronousExportFile().
You could determine this e.g. by the number of pages that are involved in the export process.
Notes:
Perhaps it would also help if your script has only one document open at the same time going through a lot of documents in a folder or documents from a book file.

Hi @WCMProduction ,
in your specific case I would avoid the Script Label panel.
Instead I would simply name the text frame "version". Either do this using the Layers panel or by scripting when the text frame is selected:
app.selection[0].name = "version";
Then your code will work as expected:
app.documents[0].textFrames.itemByName("version").nonprinting = true ;

Hi @brooke_williams8337 ,
you could create a single-glyph font out of this with Marc Autret's InDesign script IndyFont:
https://indiscripts.com/category/projects/IndyFont
As I can see the demo version still can do a one-glyph OTF font.

Hi @FZJJZF ,
there is no one-click solution to that.
If there are no threaded text frames from one spread to the next one you could copy/paste the contents of one A3 page to a spread of 2 A4 pages in a different document and repeat until you are done. If you use menu command Paste in Place your content should be in the right position in the target document. Enable the option Paste Remembers Layers in the Layers panel before you paste the first time. Note, that InDesign will not remember some layer properties from the source document; e.g. if a layer is set to not printing.
I assume that your A3 document is A3 landscape non-facing pages and the new document should be A4 portrait and facing-pages.
PS: To maintain text flow with threaded text frames from spread to spread move all A3 pages at the end of a new A4 portrait and facing-pages document. Then move, not copy/paste the contents from A3 pages to A4 spreads one by one.

@Eugene Tyson said: "… It used to be possible to separate the spreads horizontally."
Sadly this is not possible with documents set up with a spine. A real spine is only possible with the option "Facing Pages" in document setup so that paragraph formatting like "Away From Spine" is acting correctly. Or anchoring options that are using the spine are working as expected.

Hi @faculty-yvr ,
well, I can see the issue.
Setup of parent page pagination where the first A represents the special character for Current Page name and the second A represents the special character for Next Page name:
In effect all goes well when both pages share the same spread:
But when you have the second page in a different spread it shows like that:
A solution could be to work without parent pages for the pagination like that:
BTW: What is also NOT working is to move the second document page down in the same spread using the Page tool and the Transform panel:
Before using the Transform panel when the second page is selected with the Page tool:
After moving the page to free space on the inner bleed using the Transform panel:
But, if you do this on the parent page AND on the document page all is well again.
Parent pages:
Document pages:
Note: to be able to successfully move the page on the spread far enough in the vertical direction you have to allow for a large number of minimum distance between spreads in InDesign's preferences. And your fixed point in the widget of the Transform panel should be at the top. Also check the option to move page contents in the Control panel when you switched to the Page tool.

Hi @Thomas_Calvin ,
can you see the InDesign book's file name listed at the bottom of the Window main menu of InDesign?
If yes, the book file is still open somewhere. If there is no checkmark on its name, the panel is minimized somehow.
If no, the book file is closed and you have to open it again.
From my German InDesign with a partly minimized book panel docked where the name of the book file is visible at the bottom of the Windows main menu ( "Fenster" in German ) :
Expanded book panel. Checkmark on the book file name is visible now:

Hi @allen_6410 ,
if you look into @rob day 's screenshots you'll notice that there is a [a+] button in the Paragraph Styles panel and also in the Character Styles panel. Both buttons are the same function. Show style overrides on character or paragraph level.
Here an example where this option is enabled:

"Imagine this being available in paragraph styles.... would be so much more useful."
Hi @todde11569938 ,
I have no idea what "this" in your answer to a thread that is 2 years old refers to.
What is possible to add space to the first baseline when a paragraph starts at the top of a text frame is:
[1] Applied Paragraph Style: Use option Paragraph Rule Above with your desired offset value and check option Keep in Frame.
[2] Set the color of the rule to [None]
[3] Do not use Fixed Value with the Text Frame Option's First Baseline Offset.

Hi @mogsta ,
I see the issue as well with my German InDesign 2025 v20.3 on macOS.
After placing an image to a circle and selecting the circle ( not the image inside ) , Text Wrap's third button from left applies the wrap to the image and not to the circle.
This behavior could yield to a very strange result like that. From the same object some screenshots:
Wrap expanded to 3 mm:
Image selected inside the frame:
Well, that is strange.

Hi @dublove ,
it's simple as that:
Select path point A with the Direct Selection tool. Copy the value for the vertical height from the Control panel's y field.
Select path point C with the Direct Selection tool. Paste in the copied value in the y field of the Control panel.
Hit return to apply the value.
And yes, it could be a bit tedious if you have to do that very often.

Hi @Rogerio5C09 ,
Marc Autret once wrote a script to remove items from the pasteboard.
Also from pasteborads of parent pages if you checked the option [x] Parse master spread in the GUI of the script:
Clean up your Pasteboard! [UPDATE] Marc Autret, March 14, 2017 | Snippets https://indiscripts.com/post/2009/09/clean-up-your-pasteboard
Just tested the script with InDesign 2025. It's still working.
Now, that script will also remove items on all pasteboards, not exclusively from parent pages' pasteboards.
Note: To block items, that should not be removed, simply lock them.

Hallo Jürgen,
@zuzu_kuc1 hat weiter oben einen möglichen Workflow skizziert:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/indesign-running-slow-over-vpn/m-p/12635978#M460139

Hi Eugene,
don't think that you can do something wrong with Marc's script.
Maybe success depends on from what source the text is copied over?
And of course the kind of formatting you would like to copy over. No issue with bold or italic or a combination with that for example if there is a bold, a italic or a bold italic style in the target font.

Hi @magicgenie ,
you have to change the page binding of your document.
With ExtendScript (JavaScript) the following code will do that for your active document:
app.documents[0].documentPreferences.pageBinding =
PageBindingOptions.LEFT_TO_RIGHT;
See what options are available for pageBinding:
https://www.indesignjs.de/extendscriptAPI/indesign-latest/#PageBindingOptions.html
How to use ExtendScript script code, save it to a script file and install it so that you can run it with InDesign:

Hi @Kevin355787030sro ,
I would try the script RichPaste by Marc Autret:
RichPaste | Copy and Paste with Minimal Formatting [UPDATE]
Marc Autret, April 06, 2016
When it comes to pasting text from another document or application, InDesign provides two options, either keeping the original text attributes, fonts, styles (the full 'Paste' feature), or removing all attributes ('Paste without formatting'.) We also have tools and preferences in the field of style mapping, but on many occasions these features do not fit the need of dealing quickly with basic formatting problems. Here RichPaste comes to the rescue…

Hi @Snowdog63 ,
another thing you can do is to export the pages to PDF/X-4 without reducing transparency.
Open the PDF in Acrobat Pro and enable the feature to show transparency.
In Acrobat Pro go to:
Preferences > Page Display > Page Content and Information [ x ] Show transparency grid
That will give you also a checkerboard where transparency is.

Hallo Sandra,

Hi @Robert at ID-Tasker ,
if the Creative Cloud Desktop App will recognize, after a restart and login, that InDesign 2023 is available in the Application folder, I think, I'm not sure, it will prepare or add all missing subfolders and also updates the Registry when InDesign is started up. I only tried that once successfully. And that is a couple of years ago.
