Hey Liam, is there a way to modify the URL that the email provides? For me, the workflow notification email contains a relative path (/users/uploads/image.jpg) - I'd love to have that a full URL (www.sitename/users/uploads/image/jpg) that comes through. Can this be accomplished?

Hello! Can anyone tell me if it's within BC's limits to create a browse feature by alphabet? Similar to the Contacts app on the iPhone, I have a site with a very large catalog full of over 140 artists - I'd like to be able to build a feature for the users to easily jump to a spot. So if they know the product name starts with "S" they can click S to go straight to the artists that start with S instead of having to scroll through the whole alphabet first. Can anyone give me a shove in the right direction, please?

Searched the forums and I'm not finding this question: I have a site with approx 200 products as images. Each has the original large image uploaded within the product module itself, where it says File Name - upload, download in the screenshot below: Where does BC store the files that are uploaded via this method? Can I download them via FTP, or do I have to visit all 200 product pages within admin to download the original products?

I ended up having to add a weight of 0 to all products to get them to display correctly. BC support told me that it would have worked if I had left all products with a weight of "blank" - but that clearly wasn't the case. Thanks for following up.

Hello, I'm working with a client and something strange is happening, I can't figure it out. On this page linked below, the catalog is displaying alphabetically A-Z but then starts over with other catalogs A-Z half-way through. Hi! I'd like to set up a system within BC that allows access to specific digital-only products like webinars and podcasts. Is this possible? I don't want the products to be downloadable, only available through streaming on the website. Users would be able to see what products they've purchased and have access to on their account page... is this possible within BC?

I have a client that goes through inventory pretty quickly since things are hand-made. I have it set so that the price changes to 'please inquire' when an item is sold out, but I'd like to be able to add a feature where the user can contact the company about this specific product, so I'd like to be able to dynamically generate the product page or code that's associated with the product they are inquiring about, right from the page. Any ideas how I can get this done?

I'm having one of those scratch your head moments that I can't figure out. When you click on a photo, the lightbox pops up as it should, but at the bottom of the page below the footer there's some code being loaded that wasn't there originally. I'm not getting any errors so I'm sort of at a loss for what to do. I've tried rebuilding the gallery with no luck. Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas what's going on? Hi! I have a web client that wants to protect her images from being stolen. I know that BC doesn't give you .htaccess edit ability. Here are some things I've thought of, I'd love some insight on further protection: Javascript disable right click Embed metadata to images Make a copyright notice explicitly clear and noticeable] Any other ideas? Hi there, I have a page of 3 catalogs that list items by price, Under $1000, Under $500, Under $200. The catalogs themselves are fine, but I'm having trouble changing the display order on the page these catalogs exist. Currently, it's displaying as 1000, 250, 500 - I'd like 1000 to be last. I've set the weighting on the 250 catalog as 1000, 500 as 500, and 1000 as 10. i've tried 3, 2 and 1 as well as changing the created date....the order remains the same for any change I make. Any ideas?

Thanks Liam, that's what I thought. So I know you can go into individual products and view the audit log - but for a website with hundreds of products, that can be a pretty intense task - is there a better way to view the audit logs?

Has anyone ever experienced a revert in Business Catalyst eCommerce catalog/product data? I have a client who is claiming things that were marked correctly on launch of a redesign are now completely messed up. The only thing I can think of is that they uploaded CSV with outdated information and wrote over/updated the live data. They're freaking out and I just don't know what to tell them because they swear they didn't do that. Any thoughts?

Has this happened to anyone before? I've built a form that includes a file upload option, but where the field box and button should be there are funny characters displaying (see screenshot) - Clicking on the characters behaves as it should and an upload dialog pops up. However, in the WYSIWYG editor in BC the box displays as it should. image: code:

Hello, Does anyone know of a way to apply a site-wide redirect? For maintenance, purposes is what I'm going for. That way if a user accesses the site from a search term or bookmark, to www.site.com/directory/somepage.html, it can be auto-forwarded to /maintenance.html? I know about the individual page redierects, but if a site is content heavy, I don't want to redirect 400 pages individually and then have to undo it all again. I've done this with .htaccess files but, to my knowledge, we can't access BC .htaccess. Thoughts or ideas?

Just wondering if there is a way around this. In the secure checkout process, the URL for BC sites always changes to https://site.worldsecuresystems.com/payment instead of staying with https://site.org/payment. Has anyone found a way around this?

I've had a few interactions with a client so far and I think I've sealed the deal and I know she wants to work with me. Our final meeting is today I get to tell her how much I'd like to charge her for the web-maintenance work I'll be doing. Any tips on presenting my rate? This is the critical moment where if it's too high, I'll scare the client away, too low, and I won't make any money. Hey folks! Does anyone know how you can make a recurring donation? I'm working on a donation form with PayPal Payments Pro. I'm aware of the Cycle Type in the eCommerce > Products - but that's set specifically by me when I build the product, right? Has anyone attempted this? Does anything specific need to be done with the PayPal account? Any help would be appreciated. Hey BCers, I'm trying to display a snippet (few sentances, or limited characters) on a small div on the homepage of the site I'm working on. The only tag I've come across that comes close is {tag_blogrecentpost} - but I can't seem to customize it. It displays the name of the blog itself then the post, it's just not very customizable. I want to be able to have a section that says "latest post" then gives a snippet of the article. Thoughts, ideas, solutions?
