A bit more homework on my part would have helped here. I ran your script and then incorporated an action which sharpens, changes to sRGB and uses File/Automate/Fit Image and I can just press one button and it works a treat - perfect. I hadn't used File/automate/Fit Image before despite being a PS user for nearly 20 years so you learn something every day. Really appreciate your guidance thank you.

One thing I could do is to just use the script for file type conversion and resize separately- two steps but it works. I appreciate your help thanks.

Thanks Stephen. I think I would probably need separate fields for width and height in order for me to enter appropriate figures to constrain the overall dimensions to 2400px x 1600px. Just having the long edge dimension means that I would get 2400px for the width of a portrait image whereas I'm looking for 1600px. See PM.

Thanks Stephen, as per my message to you, the script downloaded straight away and ran as it was programmed to do. That will save me a load of time - thanks again.

Hi Stephen, I haven't had chance to do anything with it yet but will do. The urgency has been reduced because my contact is saying he will accept JPEGs. However, I'd still like to be able to convert. I may message you if I get into difficulties - thanks for your help.

Is there any chance that the option to convert a batch of images to WebP could be introduced into the Photoshop Scripts/Image processor, rather than having to write an action to do it please?

Didn't see your earlier post Kevin - sorry. I have the same response from DXO and they say the next update will fix the problem. The easy fix is to update the 1st image in your batch to current version and then select all and sync. A fix, but shouldn't be needed. Too often nowadays we are guinea pigs for software developers who haven't developed their software properly.

I have emailed DXO. They opened two tickets for some strange reason and 2 people are looking at it. I was asked to uninstall and reinstall which I did. Took some new images and imported into LR CC they showed process version 6. Processed with DXO plug in and they all reverted to version 1. I have sent everything to DXO for further comment.

I reported it as well. Couldn't see any open topics covering it on the DXO support/community page.

They have released the fix but it doesn't fix it. I updated my DXO firmware yesterday and ran a batch of images today and got the result that it changed the process version back to Version 1. I have contacted DXO again for their response.

Not sure whether this is a bug or not. When I try to open some images from Windows Explorer by right clicking and "open with" - Photoshop 2024 is not listed, only 2023. So I search for Photoshop 2024 and end up in the folder which contains Photoshop 2024 and press enter but 2023 opens. Any ideas on cause and cure appreciated please.

Problem solved. I logged into my account - went to chat and one of the tech guys on there imported all my settings from 2023 version to 2024. If you're having issues I suggest that's got to be the best 2 minutes of time ever spent.

Thank you for your reply. When I go to "Workspace" there is no option to Import Workspace unless it is in another location?

After the latest update Photoshop has changed my workspace and appearance and if I go to my workspace that I saved and always use, it isn't the same as the one I created. Everything I have if I open PS2023 version is right but 2024 is not. How do I import that workspace into PS2024 please?

I love it when in great anticipation you follow a link, only to get an error 404 message. I have managed to sort my problem myself. It is a problem that I had ONLY on my Macbook and when screen sharing on Zoom. On my PC, if I open Bridge with a folder of images - the intent is to share a slideshow of the images. If I then go to Zoom and share my screen with Bridge, then start the show - there's no flickering. On my Macbook if I do the same thing I get flickering after the first 4 or 5 images at a rate of something like 1 a second which I thought could be something to do with screen refresh or rendering of images. If I stop sharing, open the slideshow in Bridge and THEN share screen, there is no flickering at all so it looks like I have to have a different sequence of events happening in the Macbook than on my PC which is what totally threw me. I have no idea why this happens and why I solved it myself but I did. Any technical explanation would help me to understand a bit more though.

I've had mixed responses before from Adobe but I've not tried to contact them for some time - hence couldn't find the number but thanks.

I have the same issue on my Macbook but not on my Windows 10 PC. When I start a slideshow in Bridge I get about 4 or 5 good stable images then everything starts to flicker at something like 1 a second. I thought it might be something to do with screen refresh or rendering of images in Bridge but if Adobe have been unable to suggest a fix, what chance have I got! It only started when I updated to Bridge 2023. Doesn't flicker on Windows 10 though.

I'd like someone from Adobe to contact me about this issue please. I have been unable to run a slideshow in Bridge without constant flickering after the first 4 images. Can anyone from the Community point me in the right direction to make contact please.

Bridge 22 works fine for me when running a slideshow but Bridge 23 gets to about 4th or 5th then starts flickering. Only happens on my Macbook, not on my Windows 10 PC.

I'll try that thanks. A question though - if I've already edited the image in LR and asked for it to be opened in PS via CTRL+E, why aren't the adjustments being transferred across as it's already been edited? It seems as though it's reverted to an unedited version. Sorry if I'm being a bit dense here!

Have to correct myself a little in terms of workflow here. The file in lightroom was a 5 image blend not a single file but it has never made a difference before. Here is the amended LR version before sending to PS. Here is the same image as it appears opening directly in PS using CTRL+E from LR without any other editing I amended the image in the end to get a result I was happy with but there shouldn't be a difference between the 2 just opening up from LR into PS. @GoldingD - yes opened straight from LR as I normally do. I tried an extra step as you suggested ( a crop) and it gave the same result.

Thank you for your response Johan. It's a raw image. I opened from scratch in LR Classic, down to the Transform menu and made guided adjustments which looked fine in LR. Opened the image in Photoshop using CMD+E on a PC and noticed that the two verticals were correct, as was the bottom horizontal but the top horizontal was bowed outwards. Any help appreciated thanks

I just corrected an image in Lightroom using the Transform Guided tool, vertical and horizontal, then open the image in Photoshop to do more work but the corrected effect from Lightroom hasn't fully been effected in Photoshop. Any problems reported following the latest updates or does anyone have any idea? Thanks in advance

Thanks for that - much appreciated. The formula I'd seen on a previous answer was similar but not entirely the same and didn't work. Most grateful!
