Thanks. Previous posters..Yet again I can't help to notice that no-one from the actial company seems to comment on this forum which they label as "Contact us" I will leave at that. Thank you 'all' for the advice it is clear that I need to modernise and I am quite aware how to financially reflect extra costs in the business. Smaller franchises if they had no way to contact the company would lose custom very quickly, I think it's a great idea to recruit moderators without pay on these such forums. I do sincerely apologize for the fact I initially assumed some replies were direct from Adobe employed persons. I would not reply the way I did if I had known you were just a fantasy titled user.

No name calling there..... I assumed you were an Adobe helpdesk type person and reacted like I did because I would not expect a company like Adobe to answer a customer with the comments you put. ie) its your choice to use an old program. A case of mistaken idenity sorry. So where is Adobe help? Non existent?

Derek, please could you show me where I called anyone names. I (like others) visited this forum as it is the site you are directed to by ADOBE under the heading contact US! So far all I have had help from are volunteer users. So where are the Adobe personnel who legally can speak on behalf of their product development..or lack of? I do apologize for my approach to this forum though, as I was expecting a response directly from an Adobe rep. as I have spent a lot of money on a product which I was duped into believing was an ongoing development. As Mr Fosse correctly said Apple have been dropping software for years so I should have expected the same. I will be less angry with this forum now as I have got the idea of it, a lot of expert users helping each other as Adobe can't be bothered.

Rick, I wrote in the thread, I tried that option, but thanks anyway. Software does get taken over by technology, I appreciate that I have to face up to that. As a media producer this however for the multiple software(I too love to use) will cost me annually a fortune that as a self-employed person will then be added to customers bills. The World has got too greedy mate.

Are you two that smitten with adobe products that you cannot have an open mind to realise their whole product is geared up to force customers into a life long payment system. Instead of buy and go. Please explain (if you do not think that's true) why ALL CS6 programs have a "check for updates" button? This is clear evidence that a system could be ran where users could purchase a program and perhaps pay for updates (to keep an income rolling in). You would not pay monthly for a car if you realised that you would never own it would you?

Neither of you work for Adobe! So why are you authorised to "Speak" on behalf of them? It's a laughing stock. No direct customer service, yet another company that takes customers money without having to solve problems! In that case Jane/ Mr Fosse, with all due respect, don't get involved when people are trying to "Reach Adobe Help" i.e) the Company.

So my only option is to pay monthly then? and the CC version, are the updates free? Surely all the CS6 version would need is an adjustment to the Registry files, but hey I understand the business implications on getting everyone enrolled into a payment scheme. Thank you for the tip about research, my next step is research to a different software developer.

But, I have just seen Adobe still offers CS6 as a download option to customers so it should be EASY to rectify the software issue at source? Do you need any programmers who know what they are doing?

Perhaps Adobe should consider Customer loyalty rewards then, rather than just expect customers to return year after year paying for upgrades. A successful company is not just one that increases net profit every year, it is one that looks after its customers.

So, the only solution is to buy NEW versions of Adobe apps, are they available to buy outright or is it all pay annually/ monthly? and then wait a few years for them to become un-serviceable again. The reason I enjoyed CS6 is it was a one time payment, with a hardcopy of the software

When you pay £800 for software you expect it to be updatable perhaps? Thanks for your useless unhelpful response though. 2 can play that game. Why respond if you have no input? Itunes was released in 2001. That managed to offer updates to its customers.

Love the fact actual Adobe cant answer this problem with a working solution! So to add to this thread a simple question to Adobe, Which of the CS6 Apps (NOT CC) work to an adjustable text size on a 4K screen? I refer to 4K laptops also so the Regedit fix will not work on a laptops. and here is where as a paying customer I sit back and wait 6 months for an answer I guess

Using CS6 for After Effects, have owned it for years. How can I resize the windowed text as at the moment I need binoculars. I have tried: * Screen resolution reduction * Dan Antoniellis Regedit fix for Monitors * Resizing text over all on the PC After spending multiple 100£ on this software please do not advise paying monthly for CC as Adobe managed to get that working! Frustrated! Ian
