I would like to purchase the software (a perpetual license) without a subscription. I am unable to see the option on the Adobe website. I would be happy with Adobe Acrobat Pro XI but that is no longer available and supported. Does anyone have suggestions?

Hi,
I hope you are doing well.
You can purchase Acrobat Pro 2020 and Acrobat Standard 2020 by contacting your Adobe Authorized Reseller.
If you would like the most updated non-subscription version of Acrobat, Acrobat Classic desktop software provides three years of paid access to Acrobat desktop and is available as a one-time, upfront purchase. Learn more at Adobe Acrobat Classic FAQ.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.

Actually, there are MANY corporations, who are very small, like me, who want to continue using their product, after 20+ years and should be able to continue using what I paid for and what still satisfies what I need (It's not appropriate to be FORCED into paying a subscription for software I already own and does the job!)

Actually, if you've been using an educational copy of Acrobat 8 for more than 10 years, perhaps you aren't the loyal customer you think you are...

Monopoly robbers. Including microsoft and all of them.
They don't like open source they just want to rob us.

What's stopping you from using open-source PDF viewers or editors, exactly? The PDF specification is available to the public in the form of an ISO (courtesy of Adobe, by the way...).
Anyone that wants to can create a fully-compatible PDF application.

I used adobe acrobat 9 and never paid for it, and if adobe is $600 for a onetime license I can understand why so many people are pirating it.

They believe that everyone can expense the price to their company. Only, that is not the case.
If they would make it affordable, can you imagin how many folks would buy?
They would be rolling in the dough.

I have turned to foxit and before they also pull the plug on lifetime license, or jack up the prices, better be in. I had been using for over 12 yrs. I have Acrobat XI pro, but there are issues that keep cropping because adobe keeps nagging and confuse owners resulting in spoiling the configuration. Foxit is bliss. Same pizza, different country, different plate, different layout, same ingredients, but solid if left on default instalation.

They did that to me too my old computer messed up and they took my paid copy off and updated it to something that requires me to pay every month to even open my files.

I find it sad they don't even provide a CD anymore - I may sound "old school" but we, as consumers, should have the option to be sent a CD so we can take care of loading software OFFLINE - the software companies don't seem to get the fact many times work must be done when there IS NO ACCESS TO INTERNET!!!

I purchased the CD from Walmart for $587. I'd been using (telling on myself here!) a CD that I found in a trashcan at a place I worked. Well, when my wife died I took over her computer, and Adobe wouldn't allow me to use my found treasure anymore. Now the issue I have is, when my disk arrived from Walmart, the invoice said $0.00. Apparently my BANK thought there was an issue and put a hold on the purchase. I'm stuck in an endless loop: I install the software. They tell me I need to sign-in to register the product. I sign in. They tell me "You're signed in, close the window." I close the window. Try to open Acrobat. A window pops up, "You need to sign in."

The solution offered only takes you to the subscription page.
Perhaps the question was not understood.
How do you get Adobe with a one time purchase WITH NO SUBSCRIPTION?

The question was certainly understood and answered. However, Adobe are forever rearranging their web site to hide the non-subscription product ever more. If you can find "Acrobat 2020", which Adobe don't want you to do, then that's what you need.

I had this same problem and DID finally find the flat out "buy it" instead of subscription. ($445!) Just use the search bar to type in Adobe Pro 2020, and it's one of the two options that comes up. For that amount of money, I'm going to look into a few other third party products, as all I REALLY need is just the Form editor.

You can try Ashampoo PDF Pro 2. It's on sale at just $20 (original $70).
Yes, it is not as powerful as Acrobat but Acrobat is not 22 times better. Acrobat pricing is a total joke.
Look at Microsoft. When they lowered the price of office, almost everyone preferred the original product. Their profit increased 10-fold. If you just sell your product at a reasonable price, everyone will prefer to get a genuine product.

Dell carries 2020 for $299 and Lenovo carries 2020 for $259. A simple Google search is all that is required.

That must be Acrobat Standard, then, which Adobe sells for $299 (full license). Acrobat Pro costs $449.

I just bought two licenses today from Lenovo for Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 for $249 each. It's completely legit. They are a reseller for their computers. It's fully downloadable and they send you the serial number.

I'm sorry, they were $259 each. Total was $519.98 plus tax.

Wow, you're right! I just logged into Lenovo and went to my order history. I had ordered twice for a total of three licenses -- 2 downloads on 5/7 and another download on 5/20. Now the product is gone. I wonder if Adobe stopped them from selling after seeing on this site or others like it? Or maybe Lenovo ran out of 2020 single licenses to sell?

I don't think that Lenovo will sell against Adobe's rulls.
It probably Lenovo ran out of 2020 single licenses to sell.

You can buy the code for the standalone version from Amazon. $550 for Acrobat Pro 2020 or $150 for student and teacher versions.
