Restart your computer

Restart your computer, then open the file again. It is surprising how often simply restarting your computer solves a problem. Restarting a computer clears its memory and memory cache.

Use the current version of Adobe Reader or Acrobat

It is important to update your version of Reader or Acrobat. Adobe releases free security updates quarterly. The updates often include fixes for common problems.

  1. Open Reader or Acrobat.
  2. Choose Help > Check for Updates. If a new update is available, it installs automatically.
  3. Once installed, restart your computer.
  4. Try to print the PDF again.

Hi Derek,

We are sorry for the trouble and the delay in response.

++ Adding on to the discussion

Please try the following steps and see if that helps:

Print as image.

1. Open the PDF file in Acrobat.

2. Choose File > Print.

3. Click Advanced at the bottom of the Print dialog box.

4. In the resulting Advanced Print Setup dialog box, select Print As Image and click OK.

If it still doesn't work,

Delete the Acrobat preferences folder.

1. Close Acrobat.

2. Choose Start > Run and type %APPDATA%\Adobe\Acrobat\ in the Open text box. Click OK.

3. Right-click Acrobat preferences folder and choose Delete.

4. Start Acrobat and print.

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal

Hi Derek,

Thanks for sharing the information. As you are on Mac OS please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here (https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792...)

Also, you may try to turn off the protected mode for testing and see if that helps. Go to Adobe Acrobat / Reader DC  > Preferences > Enhanced Security > Turn Off the Protected View and Uncheck the Enhanced Security > Click Ok and reboot the computer and check.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards

Amal

Hi Amal

Thank you Amal.

This link is for pc users: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792...

But I am running macOS Catalina Version 10.15.3.

I did follow your advice and on the enhanced security and reboot but no luck. 😞

Thanks

Derek
