Installation failed: Microsoft Word Error code: C131

Trying to install Acrobat DC on Windows. The installation has failed due to an "installation conflict".

Error message states the conflict as "-Microsoft Word (Error Code: C131)"

Word is not even open on my laptop. Please advise how I can correct to complete the installation.

Hi there

We are sorry for the trouble. As described you are unable to install the application and getting the error  installation conflict with MS Word

Please try the following and see if that works for you. Go to the Task Manager and CPU details and stop and close the installer process  and MS Word process (even if it shows consuming 0% ) and reboot the compouter once and try to install the application and check.
