PDF Preview Handler doesn't work

Hi, I got this error in the e-mail window:

This file cannot be previewed because of an error with the following previewer:
PDF Preview Handler for Vista
To open this file in its own program, double-click it.

No more error details are provided.
Windows Vista x64 + Outlook 2007.
I tried reinstalling 8.1 update, no success.
Any clue?

Are you still looking for thumbnails or are you looking for previews in the preview pane.  Views in the preview pane seem to work fine in windows 7 x64 and windows 10 x64 on my machines.  Thumbnails were apparently discontinued and instead you get a generic one.

Download Outlook Temp Cleanse.  Clean your temp files out, then try again.
