I have a drop down field with job titles and each job title has an assigned number or program code for billing.  How do I autopopulate the code in a different field based on the job title the person selects at the top?  For instance if Administrative Assistant is selected at the top of the form then at the bottom of the form in the specific field it will put the number "506"

Thanks

Do any of the job titles have the same code, or is there a unique code for each job title? If the latter, you can set the export value of each dropdown item to the corresponding code, and then set the other field value to the export value, using a custom Keystroke script for the dropdown.

George has the right answer. If the only one other field is affected, then a unique export value will work. But for more complex behavior you need some more complex scripting.

You can read about list programming here:

There are some examples that show scripts very similar to what you want.
