Hello,
After last update of Adobe Reader DC (15.017.20050) we have big problems with open PDF files. Some language characters are not displayed (like ż or ł) and we have error: "Cannot extract the embedded font MPDFAA++DejaVuSansCondensed some characters may not display or print correctly". On older version everything was fine. ADOBE DEVELOPERS - please quick fix this problem... ;-(

Same Problems with Acrobat 8 Std, Acrobat X Std and Acrobat 9 Pro

No a different problem. This was a new problem only on the newest Acrobat Reader DC. If you get this message in other software, there's something wrong with the file or the font.

Well, I disagree to that. The same file I had opened 3 weeks ago without any problem now have this error.

The message I was replying to stated "We have the same Problems with Acrobat 8 Std, X Std and 9 Pro" None of these have been changed. None will be fixed if something else broke them.

Apparently, many PDFs made with this font show this issue. Apparently there is a patch for Acrobat Reader DC but not for the old (almost obsolete) Adobe Reader XI. Maybe there will be.
I recommend you consider using a different font, rather than wait for Adobe.

The two fixes you mentioned are for Acrobat Reader DC, not XI. Time to upgrade.

hi,
any suggest problem fix without upgrade to Adobe Reader DC? becouse my company using Adobe Reader 11.0.17..

Adobe have little interest in software they see as obsolete.
Reader 11 is still supported for perhaps one more year, but priority is only security fixes. See reply #35, "This will be patched in our next update for 11.x tentatively planned for Fall this year."
Or of course, downgrade - remove the security fixes in 11.0.17 by reinstalling then manually patching up to 11.0.16.

I have Adobe Acrobat Professional XI 11.0.17 having the same problem. It is not file generation as the file reads correctly in other programs. None of the suggestions work. Is there any solution for this?
Thanks.

Your message mentions the DejaVu font? Yet my suggestion of going back to 11.0.16 didn't work?

Hello,
I still have the problem. I use the PB12 to generate the PDF file. Sometimes the file is opened OK but sometimes it has the error "unable to extract embedded font CIDFont+F1". What is recommended?
Thanks

That's not the same problem assuming you have updated as mentioned. Contact makers of PB12.
