Structure Not Working - Refund Wanted

I am currently appalled and disappointed at this extension . Have spent hours and hours copying prompts from youtubers and other creators , but my results are all wildly different, horrible quality, dont copy the structure at all but instead put a background image and a text image over each other, not manipulating them together.

I have looked through all the forums with people sharing the same issues and there is no solutions. I have been using non transparent jpegs in black and white or white on black for the structure and simply trying to impose a texture within it. it works so easily (apparently) for the creators im following but when I do it myself the results are laughable, like really really bad.

Ive tried everything and am fed up. If a solution cannot be provided to this I want to cancel my subscription and refund it.

Thanks

I'm not here to prove you wrong, I'm here to help folks.

No worries if you need help with prompts or structure/ styles we are glad to help here or on Discord.

I wouldn't say you are wrong outright, it can be frustrating learning the "tribal knowledge".

@Geoff Miller can you show some examples of your results including the prompts used and the structure reference image?

Sorry about the trouble. Would you mind sharing the Reference image with us to test? You can use any file sharing services (Dropbox, WeTransfer, Google Drive) to upload the image. We'll try to test it at our end.

Let us know. Happy to investigate

Hi guys

Thanks for the reply. See screenshots below of another test I did now with same results.

There must be something simple Im missing as I only want to encapsulate the texture I upload into the logo without a background, so I can impose that onto another photo like a landscape of a countryside or cityscape for my work.

Thanks

Hi, can you drag/paste your structure logo reference image into a reply so we can download it and see what the problem is?

Thank you

@Geoff Miller I dont see any issue with the resulting generations given the prompts used, structure reference and the style reference you uploaded. What were you expecting different from these results?

Your structure reference seems to be inverse meaning Firefly interprets the black as areas needing content in direct contrast to your request for a white background. I would adjust the structure reference to show the clover design on a white background and see how it affects your results.

Hey guys thanks for the response

As explained in my initial message It doesnt matter if the logo is black on white or white on black, as you can see in my next example below. I dont want anything around the logo, if the area of black is what the structure will fill only, how come all of the white area is also filled. I simply want to fill the black, so I do not need to pentool out my object each time I generate an image..

Please help - I really have high hopes for this tool but so far I am having no luck no matter what I try

Hey Geoff!

I tried it and after two generations I got his.

The prompt used is: White Sunscreen on beautiful female tanned skin

The link: https://firefly.adobe.com/shared/texttoimage?id=urn:aaid:sc:US:84d62e84-4795-4706-af6c-6fd692db6655

And UI settings:

I recreated your structure reference and used AI upscaling.

Hopefully this helps in some way, Cheers!

Now for your grass logo.

Prompt: A logo made of grass; isolated on a white background

Download these and use them as Style references in your UI or also use them as Structures.

These images were done in two generations, the first was a setup stage. I used two tricks to get them right the first time, why waste time & credits? I can elaborate further if you are interested on how this was accomplished.

And dried cracked mud:

Lets have some chocolate milk:

Now for YouTube...

There is a lot of editing going on, 1 2 3 done LOL !

These areas were confusing FireFly, no fault of yours, and the reason why you were getting those strange results. There is a reason why YouTube uses sans-serif letters and spheres LOL. You just had a more advanced structure and they shy away from that for demonstrations.

Now how did I get the grass right on the first generation? By doing this...

Screenshot 2024-06-10 063543-2 copy.jpg

This breaks up the edges so the grass will stick out of your structure on first generation or you could waste 2 hours and credits till FireFly finally gets it right.

Now the second step for the grass..

grass.jpg

This is how you get isolated on white on your first generation or waste time and credits for FireFly to understand. A white square with a grass block isolated in the center = boom done. You won't find this on YouTube  lol!  They use brute force with editing.

Just be wary of YouTube, a great place to learn, but they use simple shapes and do a lot of editing.

No worries man take care

@Dave Gustafson

Sadly had no luck, damn you experts make it look so easy! Check new attempts via the link below, I used your links to test my own prompts ( same prompts as yours with new logo, same format ) same structure and style settings etc, all exact same, results wildly different.. Care to share those tricks you mentioned?

@Dave Gustafson  At long last, IT WORKS!! You're no less than a genius - thank you!

Pro Tips:

1) Dissolve the edges of your object before uploading it as your structure

2) Put white space around your reference style before uploading - if you want it to be isolated

Excellent! I was getting worried lmao. You are now doing more complex images than YouTube can offer.

All those grass images you generated are correct, Firefly gives variations, and that is exactly what it gave you.

As I stated above, it's the complexity of your image structure. If it were a simple structure or typeface, you would be smashing these out of the park. The above examples illustrate what is causing issues. First, the AI sees the black structure, then follows the slender parts pointing inward, here it hits a powerful negative space which negates the black. The AI shrugs and fills it all in etc..,

Now how did I come up with the distorted edges? I read some brief papers about current AI Gen models (yeah I'm a geek lol), they use a process (simplified) that uses noise to deconstruct and reconstruct images. So you see we are talking directly to the AI, it understands noise because that is what it does to build up images.

Sorry for the boring behind-the-scenes explanation, but I'm always looking for ways not to waste time or credits be it in Firefly or the other AI Gen models. Now this will probably end up on YouTube in some form LOL! I have multiple tricks up my sleeves that YouTube doesn't know about yet.

The sunscreen didn't use these tricks, that was straight prompt reorganization, but stubborn images I would use/ adapt the tricks to each specific need for the end result.

Yada yada yada ...

Stop back if you need help, Cheers!

Using these tricks is a "special case" if you hit roadblocks. The most important tool you have is proper prompt construction, I cannot stress this enough.

Now with this knowledge, share it, not only does it empower you, but you will empower others and that is a good thing. 😉
