In addition to bug fixes and performance enhancements in August 2020 release, keeping your app up-to-date guarantees that you'll always have the latest and greatest new features. Here are two new features:

  1. Save as JPEG.
  2. Rich file renaming.

1. Save as JPEG:  We are pleased to announce that the August releases for Adobe Scan iOS and Android are now live in the App Store and Play Store.  This release has brought so many exciting features where one of the top requested features by users was Save their final Scan as JPEG.

While files automatically save as PDF, you can also save individual pages as JPEG files to your gallery.

  • Simply tap on a file’s “

     pic1.png “icon and
  • Choose Save as JPEG from the context menu.

2. Rich file renaming: The scan app now provides a simplified way to set the default file name. You can also rename files on the fly, but both methods allow you to enter a customer name as well as build one using suggestions such date and scan type fields.

The scan app names all files “Adobe Scan (current date)” by default. However, you can change the title, date format, and add any string as needed. Custom names can help you organize and find files.

1. Tap pic2.png  > Preferences (iOS) and Tap pic3.pngPreferences (Android)

2. Tap Default Filename in the File Naming box.
