Why is the choice of "animation" greyed out and unavailable to choose?

Can you explain the situation a bit more?

On some boards the choice is available. On others the selection is greyed out so there is no selection available for the animation such as "slide up".

That happens when there's something eg. if artboard sizes are different from each other - can't remember exactly though!

The artboard pairs on this document are 2 different sizes.! Sounds like a bug though. Some pages need a longer scroll.

Can you try using a scroll pane so that the artboards can stay the same size?

Wow! It worked. Thanks:)  I have over 100 artboards on this document of assorted lengths and this small group of 7 were the only ones to have this issue so I guess that will remain a mystery...

I think I replied too quickly. Although that solved all the transitions above the page break. It broke all the components and transitions below the page break in the scroll group. The components still have the green highlight square and at first glance look like they are components but only have one state. The animation transitions are greyed out just like the original issue. Either way only half the transitions on the page actually work.
