Canvas and artboards freeze constantly in XD on windows10.

Some days, I will be plugging along on an XD file, when the center canvas and all artboards become ever so slightly pixelated and freeze. All of the side panels work properly, they just won't change anything in the center. It returns to normal when I close and reopen the file, but that will last anywhere from 1 second to several days. 

 

Any idea on what might be causing this? 

Running the latest version of XD and Windows 10.

  • Please share the screenshot of your about XD info page.
  • Is it possible for you to create a short video of XD freezing?
  • Is it happening with every file or with specific file?
  • Is it happening with cloud or local documents?
  • Are you facing the crash issues after the latest XD release?

Hi Harshika,

 

I was not able to get a video of it before it happened, but got a video of it after it froze and my interaction with everything around the canvas.

Yep! Only local files. And these files can be open and functional for seconds to days before this happens as well.
