I'm so excited to remake my components and buttons using component states! :party_popper::party_popper::party_popper:
But before I do so, I wanted to double-check: if I delete the old master component from my main assets document, will those component instances be deleted from documents on which they're used? 😬😅
Thanks for your help!

Hi Ac75130417,
Thanks for using Adobe XD and exploring latest features. As long as you have component states in your current document, it is usable, even if its is deleted from the source. You would also get in option to re-link it or make it a local component.
However, in case you have deleted the component form the current document when it was already deleted from the source document, it would just appear as a group of objects without states.
Hope this helps, please update this discussio

Awesome, thanks for that explaination!
That's what I was hoping would happen to existing components, but better safe than "aaah where'd everything go?!" 🤪

Thought I'd share this tip – it doesn't look like component states are defined at all when you publish design specs. So, unless you have these states itemized out elsewhere, your developer won't know what to do. Prototypes look hella cool though!
