[Help] Lost data on file even after saving it

I saved my work on 21st Aug. both on the cloud and locally. Now when I open the file, either way. I only get the version of 17th Aug. All the work of those 5 days is just...... lost. Can anyone help me in getting my work back? It was a lot!
Any help is sincerely appreciated. Thanks in advance

Please try this

For Adobe XD, instead you can open a previous version directly within the app.

• Go to the Creative Cloud website.
• In the Cloud documents tab, select the document.
• To view all versions of the document, click the Version icon on the right.
• Select the version you want to revert to.

So, the thing is: the version history also has the version of 17th Aug and older. It does not show the version of 21st Aug. The only thing I can see is the prototype I made on the 21st. And that's all. I can't find the corresponding xd file anywhere. 
Can I find any local cached file which has the edit history or something?
