No visible marker in the layers panel on selected object

I was just working away and noticed that there is no visible highlight on elements that are highlighted in the artboard, within the left Layers Panel. So, in this image below, I have the red background selected, but in the layers panel it does not indicate which rectangle is selected. Is there a fix for this?

I have reinstalled, and signed out of creative cloud. It has fixed my problem.
