Why isn't there an "Auto Viewport Height"?

Does anybody know if there is a possibility to set the viewport height for browser prototypes to auto?

Or any other feature to fit the click-dummy in height AND width to the actual users Browser Window?

There's not, but I think it's a good feature request. https://adobexd.uservoice.com is where you make feature requests. See if one exists (using the search) and upvote it if it does. If not, create a new feature request. The XD team does listen to feedback posted there.

Here is reference to Adobe XD documentation where you can find how you can solve that problem.

https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/kb/prototypes-shrink-in-size-in-a-browser.html

Scrolling is set to Vertical, the Viewport Height value set for the artboard in the Property Inspector decides how content appears in the browser:

  • If the viewport height is not the same as the artboard height, viewport height fits into the browser window, and the width is adjusted to maintain the aspect ratio.
  • If the viewport height is same as the artboard height, its width fits into the browser window (if necessary), and height is adjusted.

Thanks for the response! Actually there are more than one requests pointing out this issue. Hopefully we will see a solution in the near future. It's pretty annoying asking users first what their sceen solution is and what their browser header looks like to get them the full screen experience without white borders.
