It would be great you can simply hold down a modifier key to indicate that you want to past keyframes across multiple layers, as opposed to simply pasting layers.
I really miss copying multiple keyframes on multiple layers. How about when selecting keyframes would copy/paste keyframes ... and selecting layers WITHOUT keyframes would copy/paste layers. Simple content-aware copy/paste function we have already in AE.
Please add the ability to copy/paste a multi layer keyframe selection. When all properties exist on both layer - just add the keyframes, when properties don't exist, copy the effects along.
You can copy/paste multiple keyframes from multiple layers,. You can save selected keyframes into presets on a list. This list can be exported and imported as a setting file.
I've been using a script for this for years and couldn't live without it. The script is fine but I would prefer something native that I can use with a shortcut key.
Wow, unbelievable that this hasn't been fixed yet. This is a BUG! If I wanted to copy some layers, I would SELECT the layers! Seriously, I've been using AE for 15+ years and I STILL do the same stupid mistake every now and then, because it would MAKE SENSE if the selected keyframes would be copy-pasted, not the layers!
It's basic program functionality. If layers are selected when copying, copy layers. If KEYFRAMES are selected, copy layer's (/layers') keyframes. There are plenty of ways to copy layers in this app, but most use this for complex keyframe animation and keyframe workflow (e.g. ability to copy and paste) should be prioritized. Selecting layers and hitting ctr+D copies and pastes them. Selecting keyframes and copy and pasting them does the same as above. Why? Bad UX/UI design. Ironically, this works in Premiere Pro, a program that handles keyframes pretty badly in anyone's experience. Adobe really has to get their stuff together and listen to their customers. Idk how I saw somewhere they won an award for customer satisfaction/analytics when they have bugs that are years and years old.
