Sound not working correctly (Adobe Animate)

So when I import sound (a .wav file) to stage, it only playes when I start playing it from the beginning.

set your sound's sync property to stream, not event.

It dosent let me, its grayed out.

with canvas you can't stream and therefore you can't scroll your timeline to hear sound.

The ability to set audio to Stream in Canvas was added a few updates ago. Which version of Animate are you using?

Incidentally, import to stage wasn't enabled for me, I imported to library, then in the first frame of a new layer I selected the sound in the Properties panel. It even defaulted to be Stream sync.
