Erase tool doesn't work

I am a free trial user, wanted to use erase tool, but no matter how much i click or wait for it to be picked - it doesn't work. I tried to use in different projects, newly made pictures without previous editing, refresh page - still no use. Could you, please, advice, maybe I'm missing something?

Could you check if you are still running into this issue? We've made a fix that addresses at least one underlying cause.

I'm trying to erase pixels from the selected image and the erase button does nothing.

Hi,

 

Does the Erase button apppear disabled (dimmer)? Or is it enabled, but still does not respond?

 

One situation we are aware of is when you attempt to use Erase immediately after creating a new Express file from a template. Is that perhaps the case for you?

Sorry to hear about this issue. Could you explain the behavior you are seeing in more detail?
Is it the case that when you click the Erase button, nothing happens (the Erase panel doesn't open)? Or that the panel opens, but doesn't function correctly?

 

In the former case, one thing I would try is wait a bit (say, 2–3seconds) after clicking the Erase button.

 

A screen recording would help too.

I have selected an image I would like to remove a piece of, but it's not letting me select it. Maybe there is a separate setting I'm missing?

Please share a screen recording of how the Erase function works for you. We'd like to better understand the issue, as I was able to use the function. Do let us know the browser you're working on. 

Also, I'd recommend you clear the cache/cookies of the browser once to check if that makes any difference and check system requirements once.

First off, we made a fix in this are a couple of hours ago, so if there's a chance you've had Express open in your browser tab for a while, could you please refresh it first?

 

If you still see the issue after refresh, could you explain the behavior you are seeing in more detail? Is it the case that:

 

- the Erase button is disabled forever?

or

- when you click the Erase button, nothing happens (the Erase panel doesn't open)?

of

- the panel opens, but doesn't function correctly?

 

A screen recording would help too. Also, are you using a free accont or a paid one?
