P: Zoom with Option + Scroll Wheel with Adjustment Brush (k) broken

Engaged ,
May 14, 2022 May 14, 2022

The most recent version of ACR broke this function again. Zooming while using Option + Scroll Wheel doesn't work when using the Adjustment Brush (k). It works okay with other tools (Spot Removal (b)  gradient (g) and (j) tools). But when the adjustment brush (k) is active, the scroll wheel adjusts the brush size *regardless* of whether the Option key is pressed or not.

This issue was addressed about a year ago, but one of the recent updates broke it again. Please let me know what else you need to know to get this bug fixed again. Thanks in advance!

Reverting to fixed status:

If there is no mask, or if the mask component is not selected (eg. you switch to Edit Stack panel, then switch back to masking brush tool), then the option key works with the mouse scroll to change zoom. If a masking component is selected, then the option key and scrolling changes the brush size. This is as designed,

Yes, the OPTION scroll wheel invokes zoom, no zooming in or out. Mouse Down does.

Yes, the option scroll wheel does work with G but not K; it is a bug.

Camera Raw reverse the zoom while in Mask mode. No big of a deal but still annoying.

It's a known (and reported through pre-release) bug. The fix should be coming.

Dissapointingly, this is still a bug with 14.4. What can I do to help get this bug fixed?

Still not solved with 14.5. Zoom with Option + Scroll Wheel with Adjustment Brush (k) still doesn't work with version 14.5.  What else can I do to get this resolved?

Yes, this is a problem again with ACR 16.0. The bad behavior of the origional post is back!

The most recent version of ACR broke this function AGAIN. Zooming while using Option + Scroll Wheel doesn't work when using the Adjustment Brush (k). Here are the details of the issue:

  1. Functionality Breakdown: When using the Adjustment Brush (k), attempting to zoom in or out with the Option key pressed and the scroll wheel doesn't work as expected. Instead of zooming, the scroll wheel adjusts the brush size, regardless of whether the Option key is pressed or not.

  2. Affected Tools: This issue seems to be exclusive to the Adjustment Brush (k) tool. Other tools such as Spot Removal (b), Gradient (g), and (j) tools continue to work as expected with the Option + Scroll Wheel for zooming.

  3. History: It's worth noting that a similar issue was addressed approximately a year ago, but it appears to have resurfaced in one of the recent updates to ACR.
