Running 13.1 on intel iMac, Sonoma. Grab the eyedropper for white balance and the loupe window gets stuck on the first color it touches. Still can pick different spots to change WB, but the loupe never changes as you move around image. This is new since Sonoma upgrade. Restarts, etc., did not resolve.

Hello everyone, the magnifying glass of the white balance or point color does not work and does not show a magnification of the image. The zoom display seems to hang up. I am on Lightroom 7.1.2 and MacOS Sonoma 14.3.

The problem with loupe view only appears on my mac. Changing whitebalance for example on iPad or iPhone works perfectly fine.
I can still click on the image and the whitebalance changes accordingly and even point color selects a specific color. It just doesnt preview the area in the loupe.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure when exactly this problem occurred. It might have happened after the latest Sonoma update. Could there be a chance of that causing the error? I tried to go back to an older version of Lightroom, but that didn't help.
I had not tried it myself yet, but I do see the same issue. The eyedropper works fine, and when I look at the image preview in the upper left corner, I do see the image preview change while going over the image with the eyedropper. But the eyedropper loupe does nothing. @RikkFlohr this look like a bug.
I'm seeing the same issue with the white balance picker in LrC. iMac 2020 running Sonoma 14.3, LrC 13.1. I looked in Camera Raw to see if the same thing happens but there is no loupe view. I do see the image change colors in the Navigator window (LrC). I have not reset preferences here yet, but I see it didn't work for one person.
@Rikk Flohr: Photography Screen recording is permitted (and because the eyedropper itself works, this can't be the reason). It's most likely related to MacOS Sonoma 14.3 and not present in MacOS 14.2.1. I just checked on my wife's computer: same thing.

The white balance and point color loupes get stuck on the first thing they preview after mousing over the first image I use it on after application launch. On MacOS Sonoma 12.3; Lightroom Desktop 7.1.2; MBP 13" M1 2020.
They will still work (i.e., set a WB or choose a point color) when clicking on the image, but the preview/zoomed version of the loupe remains frozen. I've only noticed this issue lately - may be a result of upgrading to MacOS Sonoma 12.3. I have tried adding Lightroom to allow it to view/record screen in System Preferences (though it has never asked for these permissions); have also tried resetting Lightroom preferences. Restarting Lightroom or computer can reset the what the loupes get stuck/frozen on initially. However, once the loupe is first used and gets stuck, even switching to a different image in Lightroom won't change that original frozen loupe view.
I'm having the same problem. The loupe stuck at the pixel right under the cursor. Trying to zoom in/zoom out the loupe by scrolling up or down update the loupe, but the content inside still freezes and does not change according to my cursor. I've tried reset my machine, reset and reinstall the Lightroom but it does not work.
I'm using macOS Sonoma 14.3.1, Lightroom 7.1.2, downgraded to Lighroom 7.0 but the problem still persist.
I've got a problem with the color picker in Lightroom Cloud (MAC) in that it sets to a specific color in the enlarged circle and doesn't change as I move around a photo. I don't have the same problem in Classic. See attached photo. Note thatthe picker does select the correct color as seen by the faint black dot in the picker panel on the right,
Interesting. I see the same issue but with a different patch that doesn't change moving around on the image on my Mac Book Pro M1 Max running Sonoma. It does pick the right color under the dropper but the enlargement in the circle is from some other area not even in the same image.
