Hi all,
you can only delete pauses or fillers when you are in a (dynamic) sequence transcript. It's not possible to delete pauses/fillers in a source transcript because you can't "cut out" bits of the source clip (because then the source clip would be chopped up into different sub clips – which is not doable unless you put the clip into a sequence). In a source clip you can only search and filter for pauses/fillers/words but you can't do any editing actions other than text correction. So, if

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Hi @Deleted User,
I read about your problem. I have noticed that most people having these issue are either Portuguese or Spanish speakers. It's rather strange. I'll move this to the bug reports forum so that the product team can have a look. Sorry for the issue.
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi @danielr72276698,
Thanks for writing in. I tried to replicate your issue but was not successful. Are you certain that you have transcribed the clip and then edited it into the timeline before running the delete "Pauses" command? If you could check that, it would be helpful. Let us know. Sorry for the problem.
Thanks,
Kevin

@Deleted User @danielr72276698,
This is a bug in 24.0 and 24.1. And I just confirmed it is present in Beta 24.2.0.54. The "Delete" button is missing in Source view with a source transcript and in Sequence view with a static transcript. And you also see the problem if you nest a Sequence with source transcripts in another sequence.
But it works correctly if you are looking at a sequence with source transcripts. That workaround works for some, but all circumstances. Give that a try and let us know.
I was hoping for a fix, but the problem is still present in PR Release 24.1.0 and not fixed yet in the Beta.
The bug reports are a bit messed up. At first I thought there was no bug. Then I said there was, but I got the reasons wrong! Eventually, I think I got it right, but it is a little hard to follow. The bug report in the Beta forum is here:
The bug report in the regular forum was incorrectly moved to discussions:
@Kevin-Monahan, I don't think there was ever a staff acknowledgment - or correction if I still don't get it!

So, if you want to remove all pauses etc, you have to put the source clip into a sequence first and then work on the sequence transcript.
Hope that helps!

Hi @Trebreh sb
are you trying to delete a pause from a source clip transcript or from a sequence transcript? How it works is that pauses can only be deleted from dynamic sequence transcripts (that means a sequence that contains of transcripts from previously transcribed source clips).
If it's not working for you in a sequence transcript, could you please share a screenshot so I can investigate more?
Thanks,
Kerstin

@Sherex Pauses can only be removed in sequence transcripts and not when the transcript of a source clip is opened. Where are you trying to delete the pause. Can you share a screenshot?
