I downloaded the ColdFusion 2016 trial and saved to Downloads:

  • I double-click the file & it starts unpacking
  • It then starts the following screen & completes
  • Capture.GIF
  • Then it opens this screen & disappears?
  • Capture2.GIF
  • It never installs?

  1. I have rebooted multiple times.
  2. I made sure there are no stuck programs to install/uninstall.
  3. I have tried running as Admin

Note: I do have the latest CF Builder installed.

I would recommend you do the following. First, disable any third-party antivirus/security software and retry the install. Second, try running the installer explicitly as administrator - usually, this isn't needed, but try it just in case. Finally, try running the install from the command line, instead of using the GUI.

Check the Windows logs.  There might be an indication, there, of what is ending the install before it finishes.

I rebooted again, logged in as Administrator, and this time it installed fine. Thanks for the help.
