Adobe Spark: Ability to adjust JPG compression on save?

Hi all

Setting up Adobe Spark to be able to create custom web assets - great - except, the file sizes aren't optimised when export. I've created a banner template for a web page at X2 resolution, but on saving it's coming out at over 4mb!  In Photoshop I'd save it at around 50% compression which is then around 400kb.

image.pngReally need an option to set the export compression rate when saving as a JPEG. Come on Adobe... too basic.

Also it's really buggy when naming templates too - I name one, then it also renames the other.... tried in 2 browsers - really annoying.

And also - where's the 'Spark' community area, there isn't one? hence why posting here....

If you want better JPG compression options, use a real image editor.

  • Photoshop Elements,
  • Photoshop CC,
  • Irfanview,
  • RIOT,
  • Gimp,
  • etc...

I do, for myself, but I'm creating templates for external users with no software to be able to log in, quickly update, and export an asset I've set up in the correct size and branding.

Everything is good except the export - compression options would make this a viable product.

Well, you know what they say about "dumbed-down" products.  It is what it is...

That said, Spark engineers don't lurk here.  Suggest you submit a feature request where the Spark product team will see it on Zendesk.

Good luck in 2021!
