Adobe Portfolio Video

Hi,

i was wondering if there is a way to add a custom thumbnail to a video uploaded through Adobe Portfolio, or a way to choose the frame you want to be displayed as thumbnail.

Currently it looks like Portfolio is chossing the frame in the very middle of the video, i'd love to be able to change that, either by an option i missed or by changing the code if it's even possible.

Otherwise Portfolio is really neat.

Thanks.

Yeah, Portfolio is neat but it has some limitations.  As yet, there is no way to tell PF which poster frame image to use on video.   As a workaround, upload video to YouTube  where you can select your poster frame image.  Then replace your current video with YT embed code.

Any plans for Adobe to iron out this limitation? Because the portfolio website I just built looks so much cleaner using the native videoplayer than Vimeo's video overlays. It can't be that hard for Adobe to give us the functionality to select the thumbnail we want for the video and being able to do so would make the world of difference in design.

@adamm56504051,

You'll need to ask the Portfolio Team about that.  This is just a Creative Cloud user forum, not Portfolio support.

Ahhh, thanks Nancy! I ought to have realised that. I was thrown by your moniker of 'Adobe Community Professional'.

But what if we don't want to use Youtube or Vimeo and prefer to use the built-in video player as it looks so much cleaner?

Then go ahead and use the built-in player which doesn't have as many options. Your choice.
