I have a pretty small SSD and would like to install some of the applications to another drive. It seems that Creative Cloud's Application Manager does not have this option? Where can I choose WHERE the software gets installed to?

You can change the install location from the preferences of the Adobe Application Manager.

To clarify, you can click on your Name displayed inside the top left corner of the Adobe Application Manager, and then from the drop down, you'll be able to choose preferences and then mention the install location.

Yeah, probably permission issues.  Be sure to right-click the installer and select "Run as Administrator," or if you know what you're doing just turn off MicroSoft's hand-holding:  Disable User Account Control (UAC) the Easy Way on Win 7, 8, or 10

Same problem here...

This helped me:

* Uninstalled all Adobe stuff except Creative Cloud

* First went into Preferences->Creative Cloud->Files, changed location to D:\Adobe

     => The creative cloud app was moved

* Then Preferences->Creative cloud->Apps, changed installation folder to D:\Adobe

(Note: I have a swedish installation, so I hope the menu names are correct!)

Now the apps successfully installs in D:\Adobe

This is really bad. Adobe has some of the greater programmers in the world, and they can't create a proper installer? I am dissapointed and frustrated.

Adobe supplies a proper installer. In all honesty, IMHO, 99% of all computer users only have a C drive or on a Mac the Macintosh HD and that even if they have more then one drive have no idea how to properly access it even with a Stand Alone installer.

"99% of all computer users ..."

With statics like these, iuser is just pulling numbers out of their vain imaginations.

The fix is simple. When the installer is started, prompt the user where to install the program instead of blindly trashing people's systems.

It's 2020... Adobe is still ignoring legit complaints and haven't done a single thing to address this blatant insult to their consumers intelligence. It's quite clear people, Adobe does not care about you. They only care about the $$$, so why should you care about them. As for me Adobe you have lost a consumer for life, Sayonara.
