Creative Cloud Dektop App blank screen and shutdown

When a Creative Cloud Dektop App opens it has just a white screen, refreshes itself multiple times and then shuts down without any errors. I tried deleting OOBE folder, Adobe has full permissions and I tired reinstalling multiple times (on Windows10), what can be the issue?

first, close your cc desktop app.

then, rename the opm.db file by:

    navigate to the OOBE folder.

    Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE

    Mac OS: /User/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE folder

and rename the opm.db file to opm_old.db, eg

finally, launch your cc desktop app.

I did this too, I deleted every cc, cleaned all files left, then desktop, run a cleaner through the computer to wipe out everything, and after restart tried installing again but it still shows just the white screen and then crashes

Chat was no help.  They haven't heard of this issue.  I also experience the mouse flicker and Creative Cloud Application having a complete white screen.  Unbelievable.  When I shut down the Creative Cloud Application (Windows Task Manager) mouse stops flickering.  Has noting to do with the mouse, seeing this on other machines.

If you open Task Manager and close the Creative Cloud Application, the flicker stops.

I eneded up going into the Windows Startup settings and turning off Creative Cloud.

Seems to be fine now.  Hope this helps.

Hello,

I got the same issue too. Blank page after loading creative cloud. My solution is exiting cc and closing my drawing tablet's software using task manager. Then I opened back cc and now it works.

I also encountered an issue when trying to login. my email was not recognised so I did a second trip to close my drawing tab's software and I can login normally again.

PS: the drawing software is Huion Tablet. Sorry for my grammar. Hope it helps.

Hello masstapro,

I'm having the exact same issue as you're describing. Been looking for hours on how to fix it, with none of the "solved" answers actually solving it on my end.

Did you end up finding a fix?

Have been having this same issue for 3 months, none of the fixes listed above have solved it. I finally just gave up and just started using it on my second work computer, which unfortunately is not as robust as my primary.

Hi Trajan, I just had a chat with a support agent from Adobe who guided me through and it's working again. The issue was with Adobe credentials and application manager.

Cannot share the exact steps here, as they were too many, but I recommend reaching out, they helped me greatly!

It's not a fixed series of steps. I spent over an hour on the chat with the support agent, trial and error, there were far too many steps for me to remember. I'd share the chat logs, but they're not in my support history.

What we did: run the Adobe cleaner tool, delete a bunch of folders (e.g. OOBE), remove the credentials, reinstall application manager, run tool again, reinstall adobe creative cloud.

Based on your comments I figured it out myself. The following is what I did, use at your own risk. If this makes you squeamish call Adobe support and tell them this is what you need to do and have them do it for you.

Open Control Panel > Credentials Manager > Windows Credentials

Scroll down to Generic Credentials

Remove the following:
Adobe User Info (Part 1)
Adobe User Info (Part 2)
Adobe User OS Info (Part 1)

I did not need to restart or re-install anything. Once I deleted these I opened Acrobat, I (finally) got the screen prompting me to log into my account and boom I'm in like Flynn.

Yes! Finally.

I was going crazy, with the white screen and the flickering mouse pointer.

I removed the credentials, reopened Creative Cloud and logged in. Solved!

This is the solution that works for me. The only difference being that I have to end every adobe task in Task Manager before doing so or it doesn't do anything.

The aggravating bit is that this hasn't permanently solved the problem. Once a week or so I'm having to re-do this exact process and I'm not even sure what triggers it.

Mine started doing the same thing about 2 weeks after I originally posted this fix. I had to remove the entries about once a week. Then about a month ago it apparently fixed itself and it went back to normal behavior and I've not had to re-apply the fix since then.

Given that the problem could have been getting caused by such things as windows updates, the adobe application, security scanners or even firewall changes I didn't bother to try to troubleshoot it.

I think you should go to creative cloud uninstaller and click the repair option and you should restart and relaunch it...should work

hi Meagan. Did you get your problem solved? I had the same issue and tried everything suggested on every platform from the opbe files certificates even did a clean install. consulted the Techs from Adobe who at least helped to install my Adobe apps but the blank screen was not solved. I solved it today BY REMOVING THE ANTIVIRUS (McAFEE TO BE EXACT) so try removing you antivirus(es) they it will open and perhaps add them back once done
