Hi, in case I buy a new MacBook pro with High Sierra OSX will I be able to use my CS5 or will I experience problems?

If so, do you know which is the latest version of OS on which CS5 will work fine? tHanks

you can expect to have some problems trying to install cs5.  the last mac os that cs5 was designed to work with was 10.6.

you might be able to start the installation using this info, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/install-creative-suite-mac-os-sierra.html

ntl, even if you manage to install all the programs, some programs (eg, acrobat) will be more problematic than others.

I have the same question. I updated to Sierra 10.12, and fortunately, my Adobe CS5 kept working! Now the next step...?

This discussion is from 2017.  If CS5 is running, what exactly do you need help with?

Keeping in mind that CS5 is discontinued and unsupported, you're using it at your own risk.

It's running on Sierra. My questions was about the chances of it also running on High Sierra. Thank you.

The next step is NOT to upgrade the system. If you have museum software still running it's great, but you can't safely change the system. If you want to also run later systems I suggest you look at dual boot.
