CS6 activation limit reached - cannot reset count.

Hi,

I have Dreamweaver CS6 installed on one PC.  I just cancelled my CC subscription after a year and decided to return to using DW CS6.  However, I get the "activation limit reached" error and it suggests I deactivate DW on another computer.

I do not have access to the other computer and I know that DW was no longer installed on it.

How can I reset my activation limit so my CS6 app will work again?  Is there some effective way to get help for this because there I can find no option anywhere to reset the count.

Thanks for your attention

Steve

When you can't deactivate a serial number BE SURE TO ONLY ASK FOR ACTIVATION SUPPORT TO ADJUST YOUR ACTIVATION COUNT You may need to PERSIST or TRY AGAIN to find a support agent with more experience Be sure to remain signed in with your Adobe ID before accessing the link below -make sure that your browser does NOT block ads, scripts, or pop-ups -you must also allow 'cookies' in your web browser for this to work https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/support.html for chat or https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/phone.html...

When you can't deactivate a serial number
BE SURE TO ONLY ASK FOR ACTIVATION SUPPORT TO ADJUST YOUR ACTIVATION COUNT
You may need to PERSIST or TRY AGAIN to find a support agent with more experience

Be sure to remain signed in with your Adobe ID before accessing the link below
-make sure that your browser does NOT block ads, scripts, or pop-ups
-you must also allow 'cookies' in your web browser for this to work
https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/support.html for chat or https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/phone.html
-click the chat icon at the bottom right of the page to open a chat session
-the chat icon looks like '3 dots inside a circle' at the lower right
-type AGENT into the chat window to connect directly to a person rather than the AI
Do be aware that Adobe's staffing is impacted by the virus, so wait times are long
.
Also: beware of answering anyone who sends you a private message

Thanks for that.  I did get on to the chat - the first agent did not seem to be able to successfully reset the count - so he transferred to a 2nd agent who did.

Thanks again 🙂

The further Adobe is from serial number programs being the only way to do things, the fewer chat agents know anything about old programs
