How do I uninstall version cue?

Hi,

I recently installed CS4 on my MacBook Air.

Next I downloaded Java and a "Version Cue CS4" icon now appears in my System Preferences pane.

I want to uninstall it, because I read not to install Version Cue.

It appears that Version Cue is an application support and not an actual application.

I do not see an "Uninstall Version Cue" anywhere.

Can someone please instruct me on what the best course of action is, or direct me to the information about this?

Thank you.

Thank you, but no, I don't think that page has the right answer.

Hi, Sheena,

Thank you for your reply above and I apologize for taking this long to get back to you.

This last link appears to apply better to my situation, though I'm not entirely sure because the actual Version Cue application doesn't appear to have downloaded.

An icon for Version Cue appears in my Preference pane after I downloaded Java.

I see how to delete it from the instructions given in the last link, but I'm wondering if it's advisable.

When I remove the Version Cue from the Preference pane am I removing Java?

Are Java and Version Cue one and the same?  Or, is it a version of Java that is meant to work with Version Cue but is also needed for normal day to day functioning of the CS4 software?

I'm a beginner and want to be able to learn the program without too many snags. I have yet to find out if CS4 will work very well at all on the newer Mac operating system. Would you have anything further to recommend in this regard?

Thank you,

Bernadine
