Hello. I have a problem here. My CC just won't open, already tried some solutions said in other topics, but, nothing happens.

It opens in the top bar, then just closes. And, sometimes show up the message "The application "Creative Cloud" is not open anymore".

Tried opening Application Manager, tried reinstalling it, updated my OS, restarted my computer and nothing. Help?

uninstall everything cc including the cc desktop app, Uninstall the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud

There's gotta be a better way to fix this than uninstalling everything and then reinstalling. This happens to me too often to have to take the time to do this.

edit: oddly enough, at least on MacOS, if I search 'cloud' through spotlight, I can open 'creative cloud desktop app.app' which...does nothing, but when I go back to open 'creative cloud.app' it finally opens. Odd workaround, but it's worked for me twice so far.

Thanks. There doesn't seem to be any information anywhere that tells what, exactly, the "Creative Cloud Desktop App.app" is, but as you said, it isn't Creative Cloud.

I kept trying to start Creative Cloud the first thing that pops up when I search is the Creative Cloud Desktop App, which seems like what you would want. I'm on a desktop (mac) and trying to start Creative Cloud so my fonts will work properly. Nope. Nothing visible happens at all.

Jeff's reply just highlights the length of time the same problems seem to persists. Thanks for the fix.

Doctor0D45, I am sorry for any confusion. There have been several major updates implemented to the Creative Cloud desktop app since 2016.  You can find a list of those updates at https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/release-note/cc-release-notes.html.  If the suggestions offered in this discussion are not successful, then please start a new discussion with the errors you are encountering and the solutions that were implemented in 2020.

I will now lock this discussion to prevent future confusion.
